C. Thomas Howell was first cast in the television film “It Happened One Christmas” at the age of 11. His debut was followed by a breakout role in Steven Spielberg’s hit science-fiction film “E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial.” Howell went on to land parts in several films from the 1980s including “The Outsiders”, “Grandview”, “U.S.A.”, “Red Dawn”, “The Hitcher” and “Soul Man.” In the 1990s, he was seen in a string of films including “Side Out”, “Gettysburg” and “Baby Face Nelson.” In the 2000s, he played lead roles in a series of horror flicks, including “Asylum Days”, “Hoboken Hollow” and returned to play character “Jim Halsey” in the sequel to “The Hitcher”, “The Hitcher II: I’ve Been Waiting.” Howell’s television credits are numerous and include “Hawaii Five-O”, “Castle”, “Revolution”, “Longmire”, “The Glades”, “Psych”, “Southland” and “Criminal Minds.”

In recent years, Howell has broadened his skills, taking on various acting, producing, writing and directing roles.

Howell currently resides in Los Angeles with his wife Sylvie, a daughter and two sons.
