Heaven on earth. That pretty much sums up the Victoria’s Secret runway last night. Bronzed skin, sexy waves, glossy lips. But interestingly enough, a major beauty element that wasn’t there which has always been a staple of the angels was glitter galore.
"We're bringing the girls back to reality this year - they're looking more real; so we are not using shimmer," explained makeup artist Tom Pecheux. "The makeup inspiration was taken from the different themes in the show - ballet dancers, super heroes..."
But thanks to a blend of Victoria’s Secret Very Sexy Luminous Bronzer in Glitterati and the Victoria’s Secret Makeup Mineral Blush Duo in Starlet, the girls all had a healthy glow about them.
Eyes were inspired by Marilyn Monroe - a thin line of black liquid liner (Victoria’s Secret Precision Liquid Eyeliner in Blackest Black to be exact) along the lash lines, and Triple Drama mascara to top things off.
As for the hair, super-stylist Orlando Pita kept things simple yet smokin’. “It’s undone glamour this year,” he explained. "Sexy hair is all about attitude and confidence."
Indeed it is, although having a killer body doesn’t hurt!
