Contrary to her larger-than-life persona, Lady Gaga's daily beauty routine is (surprisingly) low key!

The multi-platinum songstress tells People that she follows her mother's method to cleanse with Ivory soap — though she also admits to regularly wearing makeup to bed (a major no-no) — and that she's never without sunblock. “I don’t like to tan my face because it’s bad for wrinkles,” explains Gaga. And she's even dropped mascara and false eyelashes from her look, stating, “I think it’s more modern not to wear [either]. I just wear eyeliner.”

The beauty icon also reveals the pains of rocking her signature white-blonde hair and sky-high heels, adding that she "has get a chemical haircut because [her] blonde hair is falling out" and that she’s "dying for a foot massage, to relieve [her] achy feet."

But Gaga — whose signature scents have included Versace Baby Rose Jeans and Revlon’s Jean Naté — urges, above all to just "go with your gut. Whenever you try to be someone else, it’s boring.”
