A few of my girlfriends have an annual tradition of doing their hair and makeup together before the big night out, whilst some are convinced that a proper cut and color ensures a year full of good hair days. Others insist on being fully groomed— from brow to bikini— for the new year. And then there are those that spend a full day bathing, primping and prepping, even if they plan to be couch surfing when the clock strikes twelve.

As for me, my only "must" is a mist of Vivienne Westwood Boudoir, an opulent, over-the-top scent that's become a signature of sorts. Year in, year out— whether I spend the evening in sweats or at a black tie fête— it never fails to entice.
