Once we recovered from the fact that we weren’t invited to the Versace for H&M event, we were able to appreciate just how fabulous it was both on and off the runway.

There were celebs galore, a performance by Prince, fabulous clothes and of course, extreme makeup and hairstyles.

Hair: Each model sported pin straight waist-grazing extensions, topped off with what looked like bathing-caps but what turned out to be black leather bandanas.

Nails: The nails were painted a deep aubergine courtesy of Deborah Lippmann’s “Dark Side of the Moon” lacquer. Very edgy, very rock ‘n’ roll.

Makeup: It was all about the eye makeup on the runway. Black matte eye makeup to be exact. MAC eye shadow in “Carbon” was swept across lids with a touch of metallic silver pigment on top. Here’s the cool part – lip gloss was layered over it to add shine and to keep the makeup in place.
