Get the Look: Eva Longoria Parker's Golden Globes Updo

I thought Eva's updo at Sunday's Golden Globes Awards was spot-on, so I went straight to the mastermind behind her chic chignon— celebrity stylist Ken Paves— to find out how we can recreate this look at home.

The inspiration:

“Overall, the feeling I wanted to create for the Globes was glamour done effortlessly - beauty that is undone, untried, and truly each woman's own. There is nothing chicer than a woman who looks effortless! My inspiration was Ally McGraw from the early 70's. Sometimes, my favorite time with my clients is when they are in the fitting room, trying on their gown and their hair is just casually tossed up.", says Ken.

Get the look:

To achieve Eva's elegant updo, Ken began on towel-dried hair and added just a few drops of Healthy Hair Shine Serum. Then, he parted her hair down the middle and blow-dried it straight with a Mason Pearson Mixed Bristle Brush, and went over it again with a flat iron as well.

Next, Ken pulled Eva's hair low and tight and tied it with a hooked elastic band. He enhanced the glamour with more shine using the Shine Serum. Ken wanted her hair to look clean and classic but not too severe, so he left some texture around the hairline, adding the effortless aspect of the finished look.

Ken then wrapped some of her hair around the base of the ponytail for a seamless finish, and completed the look with the Healthy Hair Strong Hold Shaping Spray.

And voilà, that's it!

Get the Look: Angelina Jolie's Golden Globes Style

I loved Angelina Jolie's easy, yet elegant, Golden Globes style so much, that I've asked celebrity stylist David Babaii to let us in on exactly how he achieved her look:

First, you'll need three simple tools: A blow dryer, round brush and his signature Bohemian Beach Spray.

After blow-drying Angelina's hair with his David Babaii for WildAid Blow Dryer and a round brush, David took large sections, twisting the ends around the brush and spraying each with his Bohemian Beach Spray.

Using the dryer's low speed, he gave each section a blast of warm air to set.

After cooling, the section was gently unwrapped from the brush and additional Bohemian Beach Spray was scrunched in to give volume and lift. And that's it!

The result is a timeless look that's never overdone or unnatural, and is an easy addition to your everyday routine.

Who do you think rocked the red carpet at the 2009 Golden Globe Awards?
