Have wavy or curly hair? If so, I've got one simple question: are you a mousse or gel kind of girl?

If you're anything like me, your answer is probably based more on habit than hair type. The better question is: which should you be?

While both mousse and gel can provide top results, it's important to understand which product is best for your tresses. The first thing to consider is the look you're trying to achieve. Traditionally, mousse is used for volume and and gel for sculpting.

Once you've decided on the style, consider your hair type. If you have fine hair but crave definition as well as a lift, try a strong hold mousse. If your locks are a bit unruly and you'd like a softer look, opt for a lightweight gel or gel-creme.
