Get the Look: Kristen Bell's Perfectly Imperfect 'Do

Posted by babu 2:11pm GMT

Jen Lowery/Splash News

Celebrity stylist Ange Grmoyles shares how she created Kristen Bell's romantic half-upfo for the LA premiere of "You Again":

"I started by spraying Fekkai Advanced Full Blown Volume Lifting Hairspray to the roots of the hair and rough dried it with my fingers. I then wrapped sections of hair around a one inch curling iron, leaving the ends straight.

Next, I applied Fekkai Au Naturel Dry Shampoo to the crown of Kristen's head and teased her hair before pinning the half up-do in place.

To shape the face, I simply left her bangs as is, creating a romantic style. And finally, to secure the look, I misted Fekkai Coiff Sheer Hold Hairspray all over."

What do you think of Kristen's latest look?

Get the Look: Katie Holmes' Rosy Glow

Posted by babu 1:57pm GMT

Jason Kempin/Getty Images

Recreate "The Romantics" star's rosy glow with this step-by-step guide, courtesy of makeup artist Mai Quynh:

“For Katie’s face, I started by applying Mark Calm & Composed Super-Soothing Moisturizer all over her skin. Next, to cover up any redness I applied Mark Face Xpert Flawless Touch Makeup in Natural with a foundation brush. Next, I dabbed Mark Good Riddance Hook Up Concealer in Light/Medium around her nose and under her eyes and set her foundation with Mark Powder Buff Natural Skin Foundation in Natural using a powder brush. For an even glow, I dusted Mark Bronze Pro Bronzing Powder in Pro Golden to her cheeks and forehead and Mark Good Glowing Mosaic Blush Custom Color Palette in Hush Baby to the apples of her cheeks.

On the eyes, I began by applying Mark Please Hold Eye Primer in Light/Medium. Next, I applied a combination of Mark I-Mark Custom Pick Eyeshadow in Victorian Lace to her inner eyelids and Corset to her outer lid, blending outwards with the Mark All Over Eye Shadow Brush. I then smudged Corset into the crease of her eyelid and along the bottom lash line using an eyeliner brush. To finish her eyes, I used two coats of Mark Lash Splash Hook Up Mascara in Black.

For her lips, I applied Mark Lipclick Full Color Lipstick in Sweetie Pie using the Mark Hook Up Lip Brush."

Get the Look: Natalie Portman's Face-Framing Curls

Splash News

Recreate the "Black Swan" star's latest look with this step-by-step guide, courtesy of celebrity stylist Kevin Mancuso:

1. Shampoo and condition hair with volumizing products to give hair extra body.

2. Apply a curl-enhancing mousse, like Nexxus Gorgeous Curls, all over, combing through to ends.

3. After blow-drying with a diffuser, smooth ends with a round brush and transfer warm hair to large Velcro rollers.

4. Once cool, remove rollers and tousle hair with fingers, before creating a soft side part.

5. Use a medium-barrel curling iron to create curls around the face.

6. Continue to create curls around the back of hair, concentrating on the bottom half.

7. After hair cools, tousle again with fingers to release the curls and create more of a "wave" effect.

8. Apply a dime-size amount of a taming lotion like Nexxus Sleek Finish to fingers and gently run over hair to help define and control waves.

9. Finish with a light misting of hairspray for hold with movement.

Get the Look: Selena Gomez's Smoky Blue Eye

Posted by babu 2:43pm GMT

Selena Gomez’s sunny, girl-next-door personality is what inspired makeup artist Karan Mitchell to create this latest look for Sunday's MTV Video Music Awards. Below, Mitchell shares a step-by-step guide:

"For the eyes, I started with NYX Concealer Jar in Fair as a base on the lid and then added a touch of Highlight and blended from the crease up to the brow. I then applied the highly pigmented sapphire blue shade from the brand's Eye Trio in Aquamarine on the lids as well as slightly above the crease. Nest, I blended the deep blue of their I Dream of Antigua 5 Color eye shadow palette on the outside corners of her lids. Over that, I lined the entire eye with Magic Kohl Eye Liner pencil by Givenchy. Two coats of NYX Professional Mascara in Black finished the look.

Selena's complexion didn't need much, so I used just a touch of NYX Cosmetics Tango with Bronzer Stix #2 in Merengue Flush on the apples of her cheeks.

And on the lips, I used NYX Cosmetics Lipstick in #174 and Mega Shine Lipgloss in #104 for that soft, fresh nude-lip look."

2. Part the hair on one side (as I've done on Evan Rachel, above) and use a round brush to blow-dry the hair.

3. Use a one-inch curling iron to refine the waves, then brush the hair out to achieve a glamorous, fresh feeling.

Get the Look: Christina Hendricks' Rosy Complexion

Posted by babu 3:10pm GMT

Russ Einhorn/Splash News

Recreate the "Mad Men" star's latest look with this step-by-step guide, courtesy of celebrity makeup artist Vanessa Scali:

"First, prep the skin with Lancôme’s La Base Pro. To perfect, use Lancôme’s new Teint Miracle Lit-From-Within Makeup. It has an amazing transparent quality that leaves the skin looking flawless and luminous without being shiny. Apply it with a brush and then blend with your fingers. Follow with Effacernes Concealer under the eyes. (It's my all-time favorite concealer.)

For a fresh pop of color, I chose to use Lancôme’s Blush Subtil Shimmer in Pink Pool on the apples of Christina's cheeks. I then dabbed Giorgio Armani’s Fluid Sheer in #2 to highlight her cheekbones.

The eye shadow was mix of YSL’s Ombre Solo Eyeshadow in Cashmere Brown and Midnight Black. Apply these all over the lid, under the bottom lashes and blend it out past your natural lash line to softly elongate the eye. To define and elongate the lash line, line the eyes with Lancôme’s Le Crayon Khôl in Black. I used a touch of liner under Christina's bottom lashes but smudged it for a softer look. For added depth, use Artliner Precision Point Eyeliner in Noir at the very base of your lashes, and follow with several generous coats of Lancôme Définicils Waterproof Mascara in Black.

Christina’s lips were a mix of Lancôme lip colors to create a shade of red with a little dash of pink: a sheer coat of Color Design Matte Lipstick in Corset topped by La Laque Fever Lipshine in Cyber Coral."

Get the Look: Tina Fey's Youthful Glow

Posted by babu 1:59pm GMT

Jason Merritt/Getty Images

Celebrity makeup artist Kara Yoshimoto Bua shares how to recreate Tina Fey's luminous red-carpet look:

"I was inspired by Tina's beautiful eyes and black beaded overlay dress to do a slightly smokey elongated eye, and keep the lips and cheeks soft and pretty. The focus was on Tina’s eyes and beautiful skin. I prepped with Jurlique Rose Water and the new CHANEL Sublimage Concentrate.

We kept her lips fresh and moist with the beautiful CHANEL Rouge Allure Extrait de Gloss in Insolence, and CHANEL Precision Lip Definer in Praline d'Or. On her cheeks I used a bit of CHANEL Blush Duo Tweed Effect in Tweed Rose.

On her eyelids, I used the darker shade in CHANEL Eyeshadow Duo in Gris-Subtil, extended out and up. Finally, I finished her eyes with the new CHANEL Inimitable Intense Mascara in Purple. It has a slight plum tone that compliments Tina's eyes, hair, and skin tone... This mascara is my new favorite... Lengthens and thickens like crazy!"
