Ashley Greene Goes Long

With the third installment of "Twilight" officially a wrap, Ashley Greene has traded her character's pixie cut for a longer, softer look.

Essly Powel— of L.A.-based salon Parlour on 3rd— is the stylist behind Ashley's new 'do, and offers the following advice for anyone experimenting with extensions:

— For protein bond or Keratip hair extensions, it’s very important to NOT wash the new extensions for two days.

— Hair must be brushed at least once a day.

— Avoid over-styling with heated tools such as a flat iron or curling iron.

— If possible, find the perfect match as far as the hair color goes; this avoids double processing the extension hair, which will prolong the life of the hair.

— Do not wash your hair every day; over-washing will strip the protective coating from the extension hair, therefore causing hair to be too porous.

— Never leave hair sopping wet for an extended period of time, as doing so will cause the bonds to swell and hair to slip out sooner. Always blow-dry just the bonds, even if you are not doing a full blow-dry.

— Use conditioners that have more emollients in them, to help re-moisturize the extension hair.

— Braid hair before going to bed; it will prevent hair from tangling.

— Swimming is OK, but keep it to non-chlorinated pools, and hair must be braided and washed and conditioned immediately after getting out of the pool.

Get the Look: Kristen Stewart's (Faux) Bob

Celebrity stylist Hallie Bowman was the mastermind behind Kristen Stewart's edgy, yet elegant 'do at Sunday's MTV Video Music Awards, surprising us all by transforming the "Twilight" star's shag to a chic (faux) bob.

Hallie's 6-step method for achieving Kristen's look:

Step One: Cleanse & Condition
First, Hallie started by shampooing and conditioning Kristen’s hair with a moisturizing formula to create a good base for styling.

Step Two: Shape [Optional]
She began by cutting bangs to create roundness around the cheekbones, a look that is complimentary of her heart-shape face.

Step Three: Prime
Hallie applied the Pantene Pro-V Volume Root Lifter Gel from root to tip to begin building volume, as well as the Pantene Pro-V Texture Spray Wax to make hair more malleable for styling.

Step Four: Create Volume
Then, she blow dried Kristen’s hair while brushing it away from the scalp, periodically flipping her hair over to ensure lots of volume at the crown.

Step Five: Strategically Pin & Place
Hallie then pinned sections of her hair back with bobby pins to secure it away from the face, leaving some pieces around the face to give the illusion of a bob with bangs– a nod to the bowl cut, but with a modern feel.

Step Six: Shine On
To polish off the look, Hallie used Pantene Pro-V Smooth Serum for long lasting shine.

Since the cast of "Twilight's" arrival to Vancouver, the tabloids have been a buzz over two things: Kristen Stewart's rumored boyfriend, and her dramatic transformation from Joan to Bella

"To get that pigment out is going to be very difficult," admits "Twilight" colorist Stuart Gavert, who plans to "bleach her hair to remove the color, then condition it and match it to the weave she wears in the film."

Which cut/color combo do you like most on Kristen— "Au naturel" or rock 'n roll chic?

"Twilight" Stars Credit "Awesome Hair" for Winning Teen Choice Awards

Prior to winning a whopping 11 surfboards at last night's Teen Choice Awards, two of "Twilight's" hottest stars, Kellan Lutz and Jackson Rathbone, had a few theories to share about the secret to their overwhelming success.

"Rob's hair. Jackson's hair," Lutz joked to MTV News on the red carpet. "[The movie studio] Summit's brilliant with casting people with awesome hair and full lips."

And what about the sparks between Robert Pattinson's and Kristen Stewart's characters? It doesn't hurt that their love story also involves some hair, adds Rathbone.

Kristen Stewart's Tousled Tresses: Love It or Hate It?

Posted by babu 7:26pm GMT

Seen here at the Japanese premiere of "Twilight," Kristen Stewart's limp, lifeless locks have us wishing she'd made a bit more effort.

Tousled tresses can be fun and youthful, but this style (or lack thereof) is rather unflattering and messy. We'd love to see Kristen in a smoother style, or a wavy look with ample shine. An updo would also look great with the neckline of this Herve Leroux dress, don't you think?

What do you think of Kristen's latest look, love it or hate it?
