Get the Look: Anne Hathaway's Elegant Eye

Posted by babu 2:01pm GMT

Splash News

Celebrity makeup artist Kate Lee shares how she created Anne Hathaway's latest red-carpet look:

"For the premiere of 'Love and Other Drugs' in Los Angeles, Anne wore a creamy dress which was so amazing, it evoked images from Fellini movies. So I decided on a modern day La Dolce Vita. I prepped her skin with CHANEL Sublimage Concentrate, then smoothed and evened the skin tone with CHANEL Vitalumiere Fluid Makeup so as to keep the skin approachable, but peachy. I used CHANEL Éclat Lumière in Beige Rosé to brighten under the eyes, and the brow bone.

On the lids, I carefully blended CHANEL Ombre D'eau Fluid Eyeshadow in Delta, taking care not to blend too far above the socket. Next, I used Laura Mercier Caviar liner to trace two perfect lines along the lash line, making them more definite towards the outer edges. Lashes were then curled and given a coat of CHANEL Inimitable Waterproof Mascara in Noir. I also applied a full set of strip lashes for a liddy effect. I then spent quite a bit of time working on Anne's brows, gently filling and fixing with Anastasia Brow Gel.

On her cheeks and across the bridge of the nose I used Nars blush In Lovejoy. Anne's lip colour was CHANEL Rouge Allure Laque in Santal which is a gorgeous shade between a peach and a salmon-pink. It is purely a gloss with no shimmer. I love this colour!"

Get the Look: Jennifer Aniston's Rosy Glow

Celebrity makeup artist Angela Levin shares how she achieved Jennifer Aniston's radiant red-carpet look for the LA premiere of "The Switch":

"I first prepped Jen's face with the new CHANEL Sublimage Concentrate, to
enhance her already radiant skin. Her base was La Mer Foundation in 06,
and on her cheeks I dusted a bit of CHANEL Powder Blush in Rose Pétale.

On
her eyes I used CHANEL Quadra Eyeshadow in Tentation Cuivré, a rich brown
and copper shadow palette (launching Holiday '10). The warm shades compliment
Jen's gorgeous eye color. Starting from the inner corners of her lashes, I
blended the shadow out, going from light to dark. For the liner, I used
Tarte Clay Pot Eyeliner in Black.

Finally, to make her blue eyes really pop, I finished with three coats of
CHANEL Inimitable Intense Mascara in Noir. I applied one coat, then
brushed out the lashes, a second coat, again brushed out the lashes, and
finally a third coat using a fan brush.

Jen's lips were natural with
CHANEL Rouge Coco Lip Colour in Cashmere, a beigey peach shade, and Kevyn
Aucoin Lip Pencil in Bare."

Jeanine Lobell — the makeup artist behind Abbie's latest look — dishes on the products and shades used to amplify the "Legend of the Guardians" star's olive eyes for Wednesday's CHANEL Tribeca Film Festival fête:

I used CHANEL Soft Touch Eyeshadow in Magic Night, a deep brownish plum, on Abbie's lids. Next, I lined the top and bottom lashes with CHANEL Eye Definer in Violet Smoke to bring out her gorgeous green eyes. Finally, I applied two coats of CHANEL Inimitable Mascara in Noir to really make her eyes pop.

To complete the look, I used CHANEL Rose Dust Powder Blush on the apples of her cheeks, and on her lips, CHANEL Rouge Coco in Organdi Rose.

Will you be experimenting with Abbie's eye makeup?

Get the Look: Jennifer Aniston's Sun-Kissed Glow

How gorgeous does Jennifer Aniston look at the New York premiere of "The Bounty Hunter"? She's ageless.

Below, Angela Levin— the super artist behind Jen's warm, sun-kissed glow— shares how she achieved the look:

I was inspired by her gorgeous nude dress and her beachy hair. She worked
with hair stylist Chris McMillan who created long soft waves to frame her
beautiful face.

I prepped Jen's skin with CHANEL Sublimage Serum. Then, as I base I used
CHANEL Mat Lumiere Fluid Makeup in Natural all over the face, with a bit of
the CHANEL Natural Finish Pressed Powder in Clair.

For the eyes,
concealer, and cheeks, I used a fabulous new palette— Collection
Essentielle de CHANEL Multi-Use Make-Up Palette in Paris-New York. On her
lids I used the light beige powder shade all over, and in the crease I
applied the light brown shade. I wet that same shade, and used an eyeliner
brush to line the eyes— top and bottom. Finally, I took a bit of the
reddish brown shade and applied it under the eyes. The red hue in the
powder really made Jen's blue eyes pop. To finish the eyes, I applied two
coats of CHANEL Inimitable Mascara.

For the cheeks, I used my fingers to dab on the cream blush from the
Paris-New York palette, and dusted on my favorite bronzer, Soleil Tan de
CHANEL in Desert Corail.

Finally, to complete the look, I applied CHANEL
Rouge Coco Lip Colour in Beige Felin, a beautiful beigy nude colour, topped
with the pink glosses from the Paris-New York palette.

Get the Look: Rachel McAdams' Ethereal Glow

Recreate Rachel's red-carpet radiance with this complete color guide, courtesy of her makeup artist Kayleen McAdams:

"We chose our color palette based on the watercolor look of Rachel’s dress. There was a wash of cool tones in the dress — blue, green, purple, pink — so we wanted the eye, cheek and lips to all have this same watercolor sheerness."

For Rachel’s eyes, Kayleen used a combination of gray and pink shades. On the lid, she used CHANEL Fluid Iridescent Eyeshadow in Fountain. She kept the gray on the outer corners of the lid and underneath the eye. She used the rose gold shade in the CHANEL Quadra Eyeshadow in Spices up to the brow bone and along the lid. To finish it off, Kayleen used CHANEL Soft Touch Eye Shadow in Slate in the inner corner of the eye, and followed up with two coats of CHANEL Inimitable Mascara in Noir.

She kept the lips very simple with CHANEL Rouge Coco Lip Colour in Rose Comete, a beautiful light pink shade, and a bit of CHANEL Glossimer in Futile to accentuate the lips but keep the focus on the eyes.

Get the Look: Michelle Williams' Peachy Glow

CHANEL Celebrity Makeup Artist Kara Yoshimoto Bua— the mastermind behind Michelle's latest look— shares her inspiration, technique and must-have products:

Michelle's look was inspired by simple elegance. I kept her youthful glow by first moisturizing with CHANEL Sublimage Fluid, with then a wash of CHANEL Teint Innocence Foundation in Beige, blended with my fingers.

We focused on lashes using CHANEL Sculpte Cils Mascara on the upper and lower lashes, and warmed up the eyes with CHANEL Quadra Eye Shadow in Kaska Beige. To brighten and open the eyes I used CHANEL Éclat Lumière Highlighter Face Pen in Light Medium on the inner eye, under eye and brow bone, and blended out to her temples.

The face is neutral using CHANEL Powder Blush in Tempting Beige on the cheeks to contour, with a touch of CHANEL Tweed Blush Duo in Tweed Rose on the apples of the cheeks.

To finish, I defined the lips with CHANEL Lip Definer in Natural, and gave a little shimmer with the pale, shimmery silver CHANEL Aqualumiere Gloss in Colibri.
