Get the Look: Selena Gomez's Fresh-Faced Glow

Celebrity makeup artist Karan Mitchell shares how she created Selena Gomez's latest red-carpet look:

"For the MTV Movie Awards, Selena wanted her makeup look to be fresh and flawless. We went with a look that had a soft focus and pretty pink lips.

I started with Selena's eyes. I selected the COVERGIRL Shimmering Sands Eye Enhancer 3-Kits Shadows for her shadow. I used the medium shade of the palette as all over the eye area. I then used the lightest shade on the inside corners and as a highlight under her brow bone. I then lined her upper and lower lashline with COVERGIRL Perfect Blend Eyeliner in Basic Black. To line the upper lashes I used COVERGiRL LineExact Liquid liner in Very Black and drew a slight wing on the outer corners. I added a few individual lashes and used three coats of new COVERGIRL NatureLuxe Water Resistant Mousse Mascara in Black (available nationwide in July).

For her flawless skin, I used NatureLuxe Silk Foundation in Oak. On her cheeks I applied COVERGIRL Simply Ageless Sculpting Blush in Lush Berry under the cheekbone and blended upward.

I then finished the look with COVERGIRL LipPerfection lipcolor in the soft shimmering pink shade Sweetheart and COVERGIRL ShineBlast Lip Gloss in Dazzle."

Get the Look: Taylor Swift's Striking Lip

Celebrity makeup artist Lorrie Turk shares how she achieved Taylor Swift's Billboard Music Awards beauty look:

"The pastel colors we used to frame Taylor's eyes were really a reflection of the gorgeous palette and beading of her Elie Saab gown.

I started her eyes by brushing on COVERGIRL Eye Enhancers 1-Kit in French Vanilla from her lash line to the crease and in the inner corners of her eyes. From the crease to just below the brow bone, I used Knock Out Pink, which really sets off Taylor's blue eyes. I then used a little COVERGIRL LiquilineBlast Eyeliner in Black Fire to line the upper lash line and finished the eyes with LashBlast Volume Mascara.

To perfect Taylor's already smooth complexion, I used COVERGIRL NatureLuxe Silk Foundation and a touch of Cheekers Blush in Plumberry Glow on her cheeks.

And, to finish, I applied COVERGIRL LipPerfection lipcolor in Tempt. It's a gorgeous vibrant pink--perfect for spring and summer."

Get the Look: Nicole Kidman's Boho Braid

Recreate Nicole Kidman's Billboard Music Awards braid with this easy-to-follow guide, courtesy of famed celebrity stylist David Babaii:

"I wanted to achieve a carefree long, soft bohemian braid for Nicole. To create, I started with clean hair followed by an application of Couture Colour Pequi Oil Treatment to the entire head. (The formula absorbs instantly and gives the hair a natural luster and shine.) Once distributed, I then parted the hair to the left and rough-dried.

Next, I used a one-inch curling iron on the bangs, continuously wrapping and releasing each strand — very quickly — then pulling on the ends to create more of a wave than a full curl. I also rotated the curling iron in multiple directions to add dimension.

I then took the hair to the right and created a long side braid. And, to finish, I applied an additional bit of the Pequi Oil Treatment from the part of the hair to mid-length to smooth and prevent flyaways."

Get the Look: Elizabeth Olsen's Retro Updo

Celebrity stylist Giannandrea shares how she achieved Elizabeth Olsen's romantic updo for the Cannes premiere of "Martha Marcy May Marlene":

“I applied Kerastase Volumactive to dry hair, and blew out the whole head to get a voluminous dry texture. I then brush the whole head, sectioned a side-part and started waving the hair with 1/4 inch curling iron in small sections. Afterward, I brushed the whole head again, and sprayed Klorane Dry Shampoo over the entire length.

Next, I put the Chanel head band on, and then took the whole length and twisted it back in into a soft bun. I pinned the low bun with volume in the back to resemble a bob, keeping a few soft waves out near the face. This framed the face to gave a very soft, youthful look.”

Get the Look: Penelope Cruz's "Pirates" Updo

Posted by babu 4:02pm GMT

Recreate Penelope Cruz's latest red carpet look with this step-by-step guide, courtesy of celebrity stylist Andy LeCompte:

"First, start by setting the hair with Cursso steam rollers allow to fully cool. Next, remove the rollers spray lightly using Oribe Dry Texturizing Spray to add extra texture and volume. Then, with a de-tangling brush (I used Sheila Stotts' on Penelope's hair), separate your locks, leaving a mohawk out (you will need this later to wrap your pony).

Now brush the hair into a high pony secure with a Goody hair elastic. Once secured, brush-out your mohawk section, then split it in the middle, and wrap the left side around the base of the ponytail (securing with hair pins, as needed) and follow by wrapping the other side around, securing with a pin.

Finish by applying a light bit of the Texturizing Spray, brushing the hair so it has a soft bouncy texture. Apply a tiny bit of Spray to your finger tips and detail the fringe to perfection."
