Burt's Bees Does the Body Güd

Posted by kgranero 6:04pm GMT

Brand

Last night, I had the opportunity to get up-close and personal with a brand new body care collection from the nature-loving skin experts at Burt's Bees.

Titled güd by Burt's Bees, the collection promises no parabens, no phthalates, no petrochemicals (and, of course, no animal testing) and features complete body care lines in each of four sweet, yet subtle fragrances - Floral Cherrynova, Orange Petalooza, Vanilla Flame and Pearanormal Activity (not shown). (I used the Floral Cherrynova Hand Cream last night before I went to bed and couldn't stop smelling my hands!)

In addition to passing the sniff test, the collection boasts pretty, playful packaging complete with quirky quotes such as "For hands so soft, he’ll hold your hand. Heck, you’ll hold your hand" and "Last time you saw this much foam, there were strobe lights," making its contents prime for starting conversations and gifting.

güd by Burt's Bees ranges from $4.99-$11.99 and is available at select retailers and gudhappens.com. Pearanormal Activity is available exclusively at Target stores thru Nov. 2012. (Psst...click here for a coupon!)

NARS just released photos of the worldly palette that is its Spring 2012 collection, created by Founder and Creative Director François.

Comprised of shimmery neutrals offset by seriously-saturated hues (including both a cobalt and pink liner and, my favorite, a limited-edition purple-sparkle polish), the campaign features

Lhasa Single Eyeshadow, $24
Paramaribo Duo Eyeshadow (Limited Edition), $34
Gaiety Blush, $28
Mexican Rose Velvet Gloss Lip Pencil, $24

Dark Rite Soft Touch Shadow Pencil, $24
Diamond Life Nail Polish (Limited Edition), $18

The collection will be available Jan. 15 at narscosmetics.com.

Michelle Williams Debuts New Hair Color!

Michelle Williams debuted a slightly darker do at the Palm Springs International Film Festival – and the jury is still out on it.

We were kind of in love with her signature platinum locks – but let’s be honest, the girl is GORGEOUS either way. We could get used to the strawberry blonde look.

What’s your take on it?

Want to Look Like Kate Moss?

Posted by melissa k. 4:45pm GMT

Brand, Mike Marsland/WireImage

Want to look like Kate Moss? So do we. But we can’t…unless, well – unless nothing. You can however perfect your pout like she does.

The supermodel, who was once the face of Rimmel, is now creating her very own lipstick collection (called Lasting Finish Lipstick by Kate Moss) for the beauty brand featuring her favorite shades.

There are five high-shine colors to choose from and each one is housed in a chic matte black bullet, reflective of Moss’s iconic rocker style and bears her signature in bold red.

The collection is due out this spring and each lipstick will only set you back $5.49. Talk about a look for less!

Demi Lovato's Dreary Daggers: Love 'Em or Leave 'Em?

Posted by kgranero 12:55pm GMT

If there's one thing I learned while covering backstage beauty at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Spr. '12, it's that short, square-like nails are going to be replaced by long, oval tips this spring (which is already making me anxious because I've become quite accustom to short, stubby nails and they work well with my keyboard-happy profession).

That said, I can't help but think actress Demi Lovato looked like the Grim Reaper while sporting a pair of black talons at a signing for her latest "Seventeen" magazine cover.

What's your take on Demi's daring digits?

How Far Would You Go For the Kardashians?

Posted by kgranero 6:03pm GMT

Brand

With a nail polish collection, fragrances, clothing lines and two books under their (large selection of) belts, the Kardashian sisters have recently teamed up with Stila to create three party-perfect eyeshadow and eyeliner palettes featuring unique and colorful illustrations of the girls (L-R: Khloe, Kourtney and Kim) on the front.

The catch? You have to go all the way to the Kardashians' new boutique, Kardashian Khaos, at the Mirage in Las Vegas to get your hands on 'em.

Is the Stila for Kardashian Khaos palette worth the flight risk? Weigh in below!

Bobbi Brown Gets Nude (and Neon)

Posted by melissa k. 5:23pm GMT

Brand

Leave it to Bobbi Brown make a makeup trend completely accessible and wearable for the “normal” gal.

Every since Pantone revealed that Tangerine Tango (a “spirited reddish orange”) was color of the year, there’s been an explosion of orange everywhere from designers and makeup companies.

But Bobbi Brown’s new Neons & Nudes collection features eye-popping brights like Atomic Orange and Citrus (along with other non-orange family neons like Cosmic Pink and Ultra Violet) coupled with barely there pigments like Chino and Champagne and Cocoa Berry to ground the color.

We see A LOT of new makeup launches but this is one that really has us really excited. Will you try a bright hue with us?

Splash News

Acne suffering teen turned model Cassandra Bankson of Bay Area, California has made a name for herself on YouTube by hosting a variety of inspirational (and somewhat emotional) how-to videos in which she takes away years of acne and scarring one makeup application at a time.

"Here I am with no makeup...this is probably the most nerve-racking thing I can do because it [acne] is my biggest insecurity," says Cassandra before she begins her transformation.

See Cassandra work her magic in the episode below.

Kim Kardashian's New Hairstyle: We Don't Like It

Posted by melissa k. 5:20pm GMT

Splash News, Getty Images

Kim Kardashian kicked off the new year at Tao in Las Vegas with a new look – heavy-duty bangs! “I wanna a new hairstyle for tonight! Should I do bangs?” the reality star Tweeted Saturday. And apparently her followers responded with a resounding “yes”.

But is the fringe real or is it clip-in? Please let them be fake, please let them be fake. They are WAY too much – too thick, too Cleopatra-esque, too…drag queen?

What do you think of Kim's fringe?

Wanna Get Skinny (girl)? Good Luck!

Posted by kgranero 1:44pm GMT

Kevin Winter/Brand

If you're looking to the latest addition to the Skinnygirl empire to help you smooth cellulite and get glowing in the new year, you might need to start planning an alternative.

Bethenny Frankel's first beauty line, consisting of Lip, Face and Body products, including a collection for expectant mothers called Skinnygirl Mommy, is selling out - and fast.

While online consumers can still get their digits on select lip products and both Skinnygirl Mommy Soothing Body Oli and Cool Your Feet Spray, 27 out of 33 Skinnygirl body products currently listed on Walmart.com are already out of stock, warranting desperate pleas on Bethenny's official website, Bethenny.com.

If you run out of luck finding the Skinnygirl body collection at your local Walmart store (I recently came across a bounty supply at a Philadelphia, PA location), you can find Skinnygirl gift sets listed on eBay.
