Get the Look: Kate Beckinsale's Dramatic Waves

Posted by babu 4:56pm GMT

Celebrity stylist Adir Abergel styled Kate in glamorous, Old Hollywood-inspired waves for Friday's Cannes premiere of "Il Gattopardo." Below, he shares how to get the look:

To prep the hair, apply Fekkai Full Blown Volume Styling Whip and part the hair parallel to the eyebrow arch. To protect from frizzing, use Fekkai Coiff Perfecteur Anti-Frizz Silkening Crème throughout the hair.

Next, using a round brush, blow-dry the hair to achieve a smooth finish. Once hair is fully dry, take two-inch sections and barrel curl the hair under away from the face, and pin back into place and allow to cool.

To finish the look, brush the hair with a flat brush to smooth, then apply a shine-enhancing product, like Fekkai Advanced Brilliant Glossing Cream, for added luster. And to secure the style, mist with Fekkai Coiff Sheer Hold Hairspray.

Celebrity stylist EJ Hausman shares his step-by-step guide to achieving Jamie-Lynn's latest look:

1. Prep with Cutler Protective Treatment Spray on damp hair to protect from heat styling. Spray Cutler Volumizing Spray on hair concentrating on the roots to mid-length.

2. Blow dry hair upside down till about 80% dry, then take big sections of hair and smooth out ends using a medium-round brush.

3. Once completely dry, spray Redken Workforce 09 throughout hair. This will hold the look and keep the humidity out to prevent hair from frizzing.

4. Using a 1 1/4 inch curling iron, wrap random sections around the barrel - forward and back.

5. Set the look in place with Redken Workforce 09.

Celebrity makeup artist Tina Turnbow shares how she created Keri's youthful glow for last night's "Leaves of Grass" premiere in NYC:

"For a healthy complexion, I used a tinted moisturizer and created a peachy-pink cheek," says Tina.

First she prepped the skin with The Solution by Envision Beauty, a lightweight, multi-use facial moisturizer. She then used Tarte's The Eraser 4-in-1 Natural Concealer in Fair 02 for spot treatment. Next, Tina applied Tarte's Smooth Operator Oil-Free Tinted Moisturizer with SPF 20 in Agent 06, and dusted Tarte's Provocateur Powder Pressed Mineral Powder with SPF 8 in Light 04 all over. On the apples of the cheeks, Tina applied Tarte's Natural Cheek Stains in Tipsy topped with Dollface.

As for the eyes? "I wanted a soft, smoky charcoal eye with voluminous lashes."

First, Tina applied Tarte's Flower Child Refillable Natural Eyeshadow Palette, using Matte Buttercup & Shimmering Peach combined, in the crease, and Shimmering Gray Periwinkle on the lids. Next, she lined Keri's eyes with Tarte's emphasEYES Natural High Definition Eye Pencil in Charcoal, then coated her top lashes with Tarte's Lights, Camera, Lashes! 4-in-1 Natural Mascara, and her lower lashes with Tarte's Bottoms Up.

To finish the look, Tina "wanted to create a nude lip with a hint of pink sheen."

She used Tarte's Double-Ended Lipliner in Dizzy Blonde (a pink-nude) all over the lip, then added Tarte's Vitamin-Infused Lipgloss in Om.
