Get the Look: Jennifer Aniston's Golden Glow

Posted by babu 1:35pm GMT

Splash News

Celebrity makeup artist Angela Levin shares how she created Jennifer Aniston's latest red-carpet look:

"Jennifer looked like a golden California girl at the premiere of 'Just Go With It,' a gorgeous contrast to the cold NYC night!

Jen's base was the new CHANEL Vitalumiere Aqua Ultra-Light Skin Perfecting Makeup, a soft, water-light formula with beautiful coverage.

I used the CHANEL Quadra Eyeshadow in Kaska Beige on her eyes, applying the gold shade on the lid, and the lightest color in the palette under the brow. I then blended the darker colors in the crease. I lined the bottom of the eyes with CHANEL Intense Eye Pencil in Noir, and to really make her blue eyes pop, I applied two coats of CHANEL Inimitable Intense Mascara in Noir, on both the top and bottom lashes.

Her lips were CHANEL Rouge Coco Shine in Deauville, a delicate nude brown shade launching in April."

Get the Look: Kyra Sedgwick's Ageless Complexion

Posted by babu 10:32am GMT

Celebrity makeup artist Robin Siegel shares how she created Kyra Sedgwick's flawless finish for Sunday's SAG Awards:

"Inspired by Kyra’s vintage Thierry Mugler dress, I created a sexy smoky eye with soft rose lips and radiant skin. This look perfectly complemented her Cartier earrings, bracelet watch and Chris McMillan's hairstyle of rock-n-roll waves.

On Kyra’s eyes, I applied Chanel Regard Perle Eyeshadow across the lids, and then used CoverGirl LiquilineBlast in Silver Spark across the lash line, which gave her a smoky, liquid liner look. For the lashes, I created a full fan of long lashes with CoverGirl LashBlast Length Mascara in Black.

On the skin, I achieved a radiant, flawless finish with CoverGirl Simply Ageless Foundation. Then, I added a rosy glow with CoverGirl Simply Ageless Sculpting Blush in Lush Berry and set the look with Chanel Rose Merveille Powder.

To complement the sexy eyes and rocking curls, I finished with a glossy, polished lip using CoverGirl NatureLuxe Gloss Balm in Sandstone."

Get the Look: Nicole Kidman's Golden Globes Glow

Posted by babu 5:00pm GMT

Recreate Nicole Kidman's radiant, lit-from-within glow with these expert tips & tricks:

The Hair: Smooth, Soft Layers

Stylist David Babaii explains: "I created Nicole's look with a soft, '70s feel. To achieve this look, I applied a small amount Couture Colour Pequi Oil Treatment (available March 2011) to her damp hair. Next, I created a full side-part and sectioned the hair for control. My favorite method is to divide the head into 4 sections (top, sides, back; leaving the nape area as the starting point).

With my beloved blow dryer (by IT&LY HairFashion) and a medium round brush, I tried to demonstrate that you can achieve straight hair while infusing volume by using only a blow dryer. After drying each section straight, I applied an additional amount of Couture Colour Pequi Oil Treatment to the lower portion of Nicole's hair. I then divided the strands into 6 large sections and, wrapping each one around a round brush, blasted hot air to create the curl followed by a shot of cool air to set the curl in place. Gently, I released the curl creating soft defined waves."

The Makeup: Rock 'n Roll Chic

Makeup artist Angela Levin explains: "Nicole's dress was a stunning, elegant white gown, so I wanted to add a bit of edge with the makeup. The Golden Globes were all about a touch of rock and roll this year!

First, I prepped the Nicole’s skin with CHANEL Sublimage Concentrate, and applied CHANEL Pro Lumiere Makeup in Nude. On her eyes, I used the CHANEL Quadra Eyeshadow in Winter Nights, and three coats of CHANEL Inimitable Intense Mascara in Noir. Her cheeks were CHANEL Powder Blush in In Love. I finished off her lips with CHANEL Rouge Allure Laque in Ming.”

Get the Look: January Jones' Red-Hot Hair & Makeup

Posted by babu 4:52pm GMT

Recreate January Jones' striking, retro-inspired look from Sunday's Golden Globes with these expert tips & tricks:

The Hair: Strong & Smooth

Stylist Renato Campora explains: "I was inspired by the styles of the 1960’s, which I believe is one of the most striking decades for beauty. This look channels old Hollywood glamor, with a modern twist that is full of volume and timeless elegance.

On wet hair, I began by applying Fekkai Advanced Full Blown Styling Whip to create volume and Fekkai Coiff Contrôle Ironless Straightening Balm to smooth. I then parted the hair to the side and blow dried using a round brush.

Next, to create waves, I put January's hair in hot rollers and let them sit for 10 minutes. Once removed, I brushed through the hair to create volume and help to construct shape for the style. To finish her look, I misted Fekkai Coiff Sheer Hold Hairspray for all night hold. "

The Makeup: Supermodel Strong

Makeup artist Rachel Goodwin explains: "January's look was all about strength - there was nothing demure about it! I wanted to go for a super strong brow, and a high gloss red lip. 90's supermodel meets old Hollywood glamour!

The makeup was simple with two strong elements. I prepped her skin with CHANEL Sublimage Concentrate. I then sculpted her cheeks with CHANEL Bronzing Makeup Base.

On her lids, I used a wash of champagne colored shadow, CHANEL Soft Touch Eyeshadow in Liberty. I created a strong, bold defined brow with the CHANEL Perfect Brows palette, and applied two coats of CHANEL Inimitable Intense Mascara in Noir.

Finally, I knew I wanted to go for a glossy red lip as opposed to a matte red, to keep the look fresh and not too retro. I used an amazing red gloss, CHANEL Rouge Allure Extrait de Gloss in Excess, to complete January’s strong red carpet look."

Celebrity makeup artist Rachel Goodwin shares how she created Mila Kunis' sultry, smoky eye for Wednesday's People's Choice Awards ceremony in LA:

"I wanted Mila's makeup to be sophisticated and sultry like the soft lines and color of her dress. I accentuated her incredible eyes with a very soft earth-tone smoky eye. I started by blending CHANEL Quadra Eyeshadow in Winter Nights, and finishing it with CHANEL Fluid Iridescent Eyeshadow in Torrent, a khaki shimmer, on her upper eyelid. I then blended a smoky quartz pencil along the inner bottom eye for a bit more intensity.

I kept the rest of her face very understated with soft peach cream blush, and a flesh toned gloss, CHANEL Rouge Allure Gloss in Insouciance."

Celebrity makeup artist Jeanine Lobell shares how she created the "Blue Valentine" star's latest look:

"I started with Kevyn Aucoin Skin Enhancer for a foundation on her skin. Next, I applied the Ombres Perlées de CHANEL, a beautiful palette of six eye shadows. (New for Spring, available in January). I applied the pale ivory shade loosely all over the eye from lash line to brow then the pink one lightly over the crease to flatten the eye. Finally I used the grey, smudged on the lid into lash line and a little in the lower lash line, to frame the eye. I then penciled in her brows strongly with the CHANEL Precision Brow Definer in Soft Brown. Finally, I curled her lashes with Kevyn Aucoin Lash Curler and added Kevyn Aucoin Curling Mascara in Rich Pitch Black.

On Michelle's cheeks I used CHANEL Powder Blush in Rose Petale, a soft pink and, on her lips, CHANEL Rouge Coco Lip Colour in Jersey Rose. On her nails she wore CHANEL Nail Colour in Pearl Drop, a shimmery white shade new for Spring."

Get the Look: Anne Hathaway's Picture-Perfect Complexion

Recreate Anne Hathaway's latest look with this step-by-step guide, courtesy of celebrity makeup artist Kate Lee:

"Annie wore a gorgeous winter white gown, featuring lace and feathers, and a big bow at the neck. When I saw the dress I knew that the makeup needed to be beautiful but approachable. So I first I prepped the skin with Chanel Hydramax+Active Serum and Chanel Hydramax+Active Lip Care on her lips. Her complexion was smoothed with Chanel Vitalumiere Fluid Makeup, the miracle foundation. Her skin is perfect, but this base makes the skin look milky and soft, has great staying power, and is never dry or flakey.

Next, I drew a very thin line next to her lash line, with a super fine black liquid brush liner by Shiseido that I bought in Japan. Taking care not to wing out the eyes past the end of the natural lashes, I ended in sharp little upward points. To finish the lines, I added a little black matte shadow to the outer corners, to soften. I then curled the lashes, and applied Chanel Inimitable Waterproof Mascara in Noir to the bases of the lashes, adding clusters of feathery strip lashes, which I customized for Annie's shape. On the lids I applied a mixture of silvery and pale gold creme shadow from the Nars Thebes palette, and then used Chanel Éclat Lumière in Beige Rosé to lift the brow bone, the inner corners and the outer lower corners, which sharpened the line. I groomed and perfected Annie's eye brows with Anastasia Brow powder and setting gel.

Annie's cheeks were Laura Mercier creme blush in Praline, a neutral peachy nude, which I love to use when I don't want a specific shade. Finally, on the lips I applied Chanel Ultra Wear Lip Colour in Cristal Rose (available January 2011). I love this color, as it is transparent enough to see your own lip color behind it, but will not be moved! It also comes with a transparent gloss, which you can use to add moisture throughout the evening."
