Get the Look: Jennifer Connelly's Striking Eye

Jennifer Connelly attended the premiere of “The Tourist” in New York City last week, looking ever more gorgeous. Her natural beauty was amped up with loads of soft definition around her eyes and a pop of color on her lips. Her makeup, courtesy of celebrity makeup artist Genevieve, kept the focus on Jennifer’s delicate features.

Below Genevieve gives us the inside scoop on Jennifer’s latest look:

“We wanted to define Jennifer’s eyes but just around the lash line. First, I applied Lancôme's Le Crayon Khôl in Black Ebony close to the lash line and smudged with a liner brush. Next, I set the liner with the black shade in the Les Gris L’Wren [Scott] eyeshadow palette, keeping the color close to lashes. On the bottom and inner corner of eyes, I set and defined the liner with the medium shimmer gray shade. Finally, I swept Jennifer’s lashes with Ôscillation Mascara in Black and topped with Hypnôse Drama in Le Noir L’Wren [Scott].

Jennifer’s lips were defined with Le Lipstique in Sheer Plum. The rich lip color was courtesy of L’Absolu Rouge Lipstick in Le Rouge L’Wren [Scott]."

Get the Look: Ashley Greene's Dramatic Eyes

Celebrity makeup artist Vanessa Scali transformed "Twilight" star Ashley Greene into a gorgeous vision at last night’s "New Moon" premiere in Los Angeles. “The look was classic '60’s,” reports Vanessa. “Well-defined eyes with lots of lashes, a strong brow and clean skin with subtle pink/coral cheeks and lips.”

Get the look:

To start, Vanessa evened out Ashley’s “nearly flawless skin” with Lancôme's Effacernes concealer in Light Bisque underneath the eyes. “It gives clean, fresh, flawless coverage,” she said. Bobbi Brown’s Foundation Stick followed. Lancôme's Blush Subtil in Shimmer Pink Pool topped the apples of the cheeks.

For Ashley’s dramatic eyes, Vanessa swept YSL Fard Lumiére Aquarésistant Cream Eyeshadow in Pink Sands over the entire eye. To define and elongate the lash line, Vanessa used Lancôme's Artliner in Black and lined the inner rims with Shu Uemura's Painting Liner in White. The finishing touch: a few generous coats of Lancôme's Ôscillation Mascara in Black for “seductively lengthy lashes,” says Vanessa. Ashley’s brows were sculpted with Lancôme's Le Crayon Poudre in Brunet.

Finally, Lancôme's new lipstick from the Pout-á-Porter series—L’Absolu Rouge in Chris & Tell—made a sneak peek appearance, completing Ashley's retro-inspired look. (The gorgeous hue, which was created for designer Chris Benz’s Spring show, will be available in February.)

What do you think of Ashley's latest look?

Get the Look: Elisabeth Moss' Ethereal Glow

Celebrity makeup artist Lauren Kaye Cohen shares how she created Elisabeth Moss' ethereal Emmys look:

SKIN: To get Elisabeth’s radiant-looking, flawless skin, Lauren began by using a combination of Shu Uemura’s Face Architect Smoothing Fluid Foundation and the new Nobara Cream Cover Stick Foundation (in areas that needed more coverage), both in shades 784. She then applied both foundations with Shu Uemura’s Natural 18 Goat Brush, and dabbed a bit of YSL Teint Parfait Complexion Enhancer in 02 Rose Pearl with her fingertips across the tops of Elisabeth's cheekbones. Lauren finished with Shu Uemura’s Face Powder in Matte 5yr Light, applying it just to the center of the face with Shu’s Natural 27 Brush.

EYES: For eye shadow, Lauren used YSL Fard Lumière Aquarésistant Cream Eyeshadow in Pink Sands and Copper Brown and then layered Giorgio Armani Maestro Eye Shadow Quads in 02 Floral and 05 Desert with Shu Uemura Portable Natural 10 Brush. She wanted to keep the eyes very clean and really make them all about the lashes, so she applied Lancôme’s new Ôscillation Powerbooster lash primer followed by Ôscillation Mascara in Black.

LIPS: For lips, Lauren used Shu Uemura Lip Drawing Pencil in PK 382 and then combined the Rouge Unlimited OR 531S lipstick with Shu’s new Rouge Unlimited Supreme Shine lipstick in OR 520.

Rachel Getting Married

Last night, I had the honor of attending a special screening of Anne Hathaway's new film, "Rachel Getting Married," presented by The Cinema Society and Lancôme. New York's elite were all out to celebrate the occasion and, though the film was rather dark, the stars (and their tresses) were shining brighter than ever.

Anne's shoulder-length hair was frizz-free and lustrous (she's actually one of the only actresses I've met whose hair looks as amazing on-screen as off ...), Debra Winger's was full of body and bounce, Bee Shaffer (Anna Wintour's heir to the throne) looked perfectly polished, and Susan Sarandon rocked a fun (and wonderfully forgiving) newsboy cap.

I also owe a little apology to Alan Cumming, whose crazy new cut I've now seen in person and (after critiquing on the red carpet) quite like. I know it may be hard to believe, but it's actually rather charming. In fact, the only person who appeared to be having a bad hair day was Anne's character in the film, who runs out of a salon mid-color― leaving the actress with blonde, skunk-like streaks for the remainder of the movie. Lucky for Anne, she's simply Magnifique and can pull off such an awful look without looking awful.
