Get the Look: Minka Kelly's Sultry Waves

Recreate Minka Kelly's latest look with this step-by-step guide, courtesy of celebrity stylist Mark Townsend:

“I wanted Minka to have full, voluminous hair. I ran a few drops of Dove Nourishing Oil Care Serum through her damp hair. I then added a large dollop of Dove Body and Lift Mousse before blow drying with my hands. I wanted Minka’s hair to have tons of texture so I did not use a round brush for the blowout. Instead, I rough dried it completely knowing that the Serum would keep her hair from getting frizzy.

When all the hair was dry, I took three inch sections of her hair and sprayed it with Dove Flexible Hold Hairspray, and then wrapped the hair around a 1½ inch curling iron to give her sexy waves that would last all night. When I finished curling her hair, I liberally sprayed Oribe Dry Texture Spray all through her hair, and even asked her to flip her head upside down so I could spray the hair underneath, giving the hair a great second-day texture.

Just before Minka left for the show, I sprayed Dove Extra Hold Hairspray all over to add more texture and keep those waves in place.”

Get the Look: Kristen Stewart's Copper-Smoky Eye

Celebrity makeup artist Fiona Stiles shares how she created Kristen Stewart's beauty look for the LA premiere of "A Better Life":

Using a synthetic brush I swiped on CoverGirl NatureLuxe Silk Foundation where needed and then blended it out with a damp sponge so the coverage was sheer and luminous. A light dusting of translucent powder set the foundation. I swept a bit of CoverGirl Cheekers Blush in Natural Rose onto the apples of the cheeks for a soft and subtle flush.

For the eyes, I smudged on the deep rusty bronze color of CoverGirl Smoky ShadowBlast in Purple Plume from the lash line to above the crease blending it toward the brow bone. Then I used a bit of the plumy color in CoverGirl Exact Eyelights quad for Green Eyes over the ShadowBlast to add depth to the color and to add a bit more definition at the outer corners of the eyes, and a soft sweeping of color under the lower lashes. I lined the waterline with CoverGirl LiquilineBlast in Black Fire and smudged a bit into the top lash line as well as blended a little at the outer corners of the eyes. Two coats of CoverGirl NatureLuxe Mousse Mascara in Black top and bottom gave the final touch of glam.
For the lips, I lined the lips all over first with CoverGirl LipPerfection Lip Liner in Smoky, and then applied a light coat of CoverGirl LipPerfection lipcolor in Heavenly for a touch of shine."

Get the Look: Kate Bosworth's Romantic Flush

Posted by babu 11:58am GMT

Celebrity makeup artist Amy Nadine shares how she achieved Kate Bosworth's rosy glow for the premiere of "Life Happens":

"To complement Kate's hot-pink Richard Nicoll dress, I opted for a simple and soft look to highlight her natural beauty. I incorporated delicate pops of pink on her cheeks and lips.

To begin, I applied Tarte's Smooth Operator tinted moisturizer in Agent 04 all over Kate's skin with a foundation brush. For the area below her eyes, I used Tarte's new Maracuja Creaseless Concealer in Light. I then used Tarte's Smooth Operator Amazonian Clay Finishing Powder in Bronze as a contour on the hollows of the cheeks.

For a subtle glow, I applied Tarte's Natural Cheek Stain in Blissful, a warm peachy-pink, on the apples of Kate's cheeks and, along her cheekbones, dusted Tarte's Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush in Dollface for a hint of pink.

To ensure that her look lasted through the evening, I primed Kate's lids with Tarte's Lifted Natural Eyelid Primer.  Using the brand's new True Blood limited-edition palette, I applied Charmer (sparkling burnt copper/golden peach) in the crease and Dawn (shimmering gold dust) all over the lid. For volume and separation on her upper lashes, I used the brand's Gifted Amazonian Clay Smart Mascara. Finally, to frame Kate's eyes, I applied Tarte EmphasEYES Brow High Definition Eyebrow Pencil in Medium Brown (one shade darker).

On the lips, I used LipSurgence Lip Tint in Amused (bright pink) to complete Kate's "pretty in pink" look."

Get the Look: Scarlett Johansson's Smoky Eye

Posted by babu 5:36pm GMT

Celebrity makeup artist — and Lorac founder — Carol Shaw shares how she achieved Scarlett Johansson's sultry, smoky eye for Spike TV's 5th annual TV Awards:

"To give Scarlett’s skin a creamy, flawless finish, I primed with aquaPRIME for long-lasting, silky-smooth makeup. Next, I applied Breakthrough Performance Foundation all over and used Double Feature Concealer to lighten and brighten under her eyes. To set and perfect, I used a little Translucent Touchup Powder.

For the eyes, I first primed with Behind The Scenes Eye Primer for long-lasting, velvety-smooth, stay-true color. I used Sand Eye Shadow to highlight from brow to lash. On her eyes I used our Superstar Baked Eye Shadow Trio, dusting the gold on the lid and the dark bronze in the crease. I used Black Eye Shadow in the crease, outer corner and blended out for the soft winged effect. For added definition, I used Front Of The Line Pro Liquid Eyeliner along the top lash line. I then finished with a couple of layers of 3D Lashes Mascara for a dramatic look.

To achieve that red-carpet glow, I used Perfectly Lit Luminizing Powder to highlight her cheekbones and capture the light. Then I applied TANtalizer Baked Bronzer for a natural bronze glow.

Scarlett’s lips are so luscious and full that I did not need to use lip pencil. Instead, I applied Breakthrough Performance Lipstick in Nude Scene and then added a couple of coats of Couture Shine Liquid Lipstick in Vintage for a perfect, glossy Nude lip.

To finish, I applied LORAC’s new selfTANtalizer with the applicator mitt for a fast, easy, mess-free, streak-free application all over her body. It instantly gave her a natural, rich tan."

Get the Look: Kristen Stewart's Side-Swept Style

Recreate Kristen Stewart's latest red-carpet look with this step-by-step guide, courtesy of celebrity stylist Adir Abergel:

"Our inspiration for Kristen's MTV Movie Awards look was rock 'n roll; tousled, young, sexy and very natural. I started by applying the Fekkai Advanced Full Blown Volume Styling Whip throughout and rough dried the hair. Once dried, I re-applied the Fekkai Advanced Full Blown Volume Styling Whip and re-dried the hair to create a natural wave. Next, I backcombed the hair from roots to ends spraying Fekkai Coiff Sheer Hold Hairspray and slightly ironed the hair. Finally, I brushed the hair to form texture."
