Pictured here (with a beautifully coiffed Nicole Kidman) at the Academy Of Country Music Awards' "Artist of the Decade," Taylor Swift models the right way to wear a jewel-encrusted hair accessory.
Unlike Paris Hilton's over-the-top attempt at rocking this trend, the award-winning songstress sparkles without distracting from her overall look.
Take a cue from Taylor, and follow these simple rules:
One at a time.
When wearing jewels, focus on one piece. A brooch, a clip, a headband. Don't ever look like you've just come from a heist.
Keep it simple.
Allow your accessory to shine by using it to complement an otherwise understated look. For example, a beehive + bling = a guaranteed spot on the Worst Tressed list.
Flatter your features.
If you have fine hair and a round face, a headband like the one pictured above may not be the best fit. Make this trend your own by experimenting with different types of bejeweled accessories to find your most flattering look.
