The NY Times is reporting that Serena Williams will now be the face of Tampax Tampons. Yes, you read correctly. The self-made (and short-tempered) tennis champion has agreed to represent the brand of feminine hygiene products in print ads and web-only videos. “This is pretty encouraging for the feminine care category,” says Ms. Schuster [of Proctor & Gamble, Tampax's parent company]. “A lot of celebrities are not open to working with our brand, and we’re thrilled that Serena is.” Does Serena's endorsement sway you either way? |
