Inspired by "In the Mood for Love," Vera Wang asked Lucia Pieroni, lead makeup artist, to create a soft, romantic look that made a breathtaking impact for her Spring 2011 show. “The key to this ethereal look is the play on light and reflection and the striking radiance that results from both,” says Pieroni. “There is minimal color involved, but the overall metallic effect makes this look both wearable and highly fashionable at the same time."

A combination of the pink shadows in Clé de Peau Beauté's new Eye Color Quad (#207, launching March '11) were used to achieve this modern, icy eye. First, a subtle metallic pink was dusted across the eyelids. Then a more shimmery pink was applied to the brow bone and extended down to the cheek bone for added element of radiance. As for mascara? Not a swipe. “Metallics and sparkles are a big trend for Spring/Summer 2011, but it’s important to keep it tasteful and alluring!” exclaims Pieroni.
