Yes, I know ... another Katie Holmes post. But what can I do? The girl is always trying something new!

Here she is, for instance, en route to rehearsals for her upcoming Broadway show, "All My Sons." Now some might hate on that rather odd-looking hat she's wearing, but I'm going to have to go out on a limb and admit I actually like it. Yes, there – I said it. I think it's quite charming.

I find it to be a refreshing change (in a world where fedoras seem to be the only hats in existence), it hides that dreadful cut and it also frames her face quite nicely. My only critique would be that it's come a season too early, as it's much too steamy in NYC at the moment to be sporting such a heavy hat. But, then again, she's not one to follow the rules ...
