Carrie Underwood's appearance on "American Idol" last night was... Showstopping, to say the least.

Her stiff, overly-styled coiff and black floral headpiece left many of us wondering who would do such a thing to the sweet songstress. Perhaps Carrie's hair fell victim to budget cuts behind-the-scenes...? Whatever the reason, let's hope the stylist behind this look has since come to realize the golden rule of less is more.
