Q: My hair has a great curly texture while it's drying, but then it dries stick-straight. No product I've tried helps. What can I do?
— Joani B.

A: Thank you for your query, Joani! I've asked celebrity styist Ashley Javier — who's coiffed the likes of Angelina Jolie, Penelope Cruz and Chloe Sevigny — for his expert advice:

After using shampoo and conditioner, towel dry your hair. Then use a leave-in crème from the Kérastase Reflection line. Don't brush or comb your hair, as this will straighten the curls out. Then blow dry it while scrunching it up. Then, after it is cool, spray it with Kérastase Double Force hairspray. You want to make sure you're not pulling it down or adding any more weight to it.
