Scuba Styles: Trend or Foe?

Ever since Michael Kors debuted a wide range of scuba gear in his Resort 2012 collection (shown above middle and right), more designers (such as YPL, who showcased a wide variety of scuba-inspired separates at MBFW Spring 2012; left), celebrities and mass retailers have been dipping into the trend.

While it appears scuba gear is going to make its big splash next season, you can already get your feet (or shall I say flippers?) wet with items like this Double Fabric Top, $79.90, zara.com for stores.

Style Steal: Diane Kruger's Jason Wu Resort Blazer

Diane Kruger looked dapper in a Jason Wu tuxedo look from the designer's Resort 2012 collection (complete with bow tie) at the 10th Annual InStyle Summer Soiree in West Hollywood.

Style Showdown: Olivia Palermo vs. Rebecca Ferguson

I recently wrote an Affordable Style Watch feature on personal style crush Olivia Palermo and her Zara Tulip-Dress (worn to the Stephane Rolland Haute Couture Fall/Winter 2011/2012 show in Paris).

Apparently, Olivia's not the only one with a penchant for budget-friendly florals, because singer Rebecca Ferguson was spotted wearing the same colorful creation following a guest appearance on "The Lorraine Show" in London two months earlier.

While both ladies looked adorable in this dress, I tend to prefer Olivia's bold approach to styling, as she punched things up with a purple bag and shoes (and a floral-brooch statement necklace) while Rebecca opted for basic black.
