Dare to Wear: Janet Jackson

Janet Jackson took a stab at jewel-tone color-blocking in an emerald, ruby and sapphire ensemble designed by Haider Ackermann at the 2011 amfAR’s Cinema Against AIDS Gala.

While I like the idea behind her multi-colored creation, I can't get past wanting to jump in this photo and tuck in her blouse. I'm also convinced the train is a little too dramatic for the rest of her look.

Janet Jackson's "wardrobe malfunction" solution? Wearing multiple outfits at once. At least that appeared to be the theory behind the actress's latest look (from the Haider Ackermann Spring 2011 collection), worn to the "For Colored Girls" premiere in New York.

I just hope the magician-inspired ensemble, which consisted of a blazer, blouse, trousers, skirt and belt in one, came equipped with its own dry cleaning service.
