No matter how hard I try (and believe me, I've tried, editing angles and length in my mind), I just can't will myself to like this floral frock on Katie Holmes, who wore it to the Second Annual Power of Women Luncheon in Beverly Hills.
Whether it's the "grandmother's curtains" quality about the brush-painted floral design, the billowing, asymmetrical hem, or the stiff, black-trimmed neckline, there's something seriously off about this Erdem dress, which I could easily see being worn by Chloe Sevigny.
Maybe I'll give the usually homely-looking Holmes an "E" for effort (she is wearing tights and lipstick, after all).
