One Designer, Two Ways: Versace

Kelly Rowland looked fierce in an asymmetrical Versace bodice with turquoise, wave-like detailing at "The X Factor" Press Launch in London today.

If you recall, model/actress Rachel Nichols donned a similarly sporty dress with the same color scheme (also from the Fall 2011 collection) to the 2011 ESPY Awards in mid-July.

While both ladies worked it in their body-hugging creations, I like how the details on Kelly's dress are in the front where everyone can see them (I also prefer her brave bootie choice to Rachel's status quo pumps), so I'm giving this one to her.

This Week's Fab Five

This week was all about sleek sheaths and power pleats. And the winners are...

Ana de la Reguera in Gucci at the "Cowboys & Aliens" World Premiere in San Diego. The actress looked gorgeous in this romantic gown which, for me, gives off a "Gone With the Wind" vibe. It has also been worn by Beyonce.

Kelly Rowland in Cushnie Et Ochs at the "Here I Am" Album Launch Party. This cutout dress served as the perfect display case for Kelly's rockin' bod. I only wish she'd opted for a different, and less noisy, pair of shoes.

Olivia Palermo in DKNY at the DKNY Sun Soiree. The blocks of color and allover pleats really play well together in this dress. I also like how Olivia didn't shy away from bold accessories when it came to completing her look.

Heidi Klum in Yves Saint Laurent for an appearance on "Good Morning America." The "Project Runway" host looked nothing short of fierce in this frisky, feline-print sheath, which she drove home with a belt and ankle-streep peep-toes.

Olivia Wilde in Dolce & Gabbana at the "Cowboys & Aliens" World Premiere in San Diego. Miss Wilde oozed romance in this old-fashioned, lace-covered gown.�

One Designer, Two Ways: Versace

Nothing screams "same designer collection" like a loud print, which is why I was immediately taken back to Daisy Lowe's stripy Versace crop top and pencil skirt pairing (donned at the 2011 Glamour Women of the Year Awards) when I came across this pic of Kelly Rowland wearing a similiarly colorful creation (from the same collection).

I like how the consistency of the verticle stripes on Kelly's version create a nice flow, whereas Daisy's mismatched prints compete for attention, so I'm giving this one to her.

Red-Carpet Recap: 2011 BET Awards

I love the BET Awards because they're always characterized by unconventional (and downright cool) styles.

This year's noteworthy attendees included Kelly Rowland (who looked flirty in a fuchsia Notte by Marchesa dress with ruffles cascading down the front), Kerry Washington (who proved a bright idea in a neon yellow Michael Kors halter gown) and Keri Hilson (who tapped into the color-blocking trend in a purple and black Tibi jumpsuit).

Eve (in a leather vest and legging combo, topped off with a "Rapunzel" braid) and Michelle Williams (in a purple jersey dress and metallic cutout heels) were also on the scene.

Style Showdown: Kelly vs. Marion

Kelly Rowland recently stepped out in London in the same sequined Lefranc Ferrant jumpsuit as previously worn by Marion Cotillard to the Chopard 150th Anniversary Party just last month.

While both ladies accessorized with open-toe shoes and clutches, Kelly looked more comfortable in her jumpsuit, so I'm giving this one to her.

Nicole Richie took the red-carpet cake at the Glamour Women Of The Year Awards last night, where she wore a peach-colored gown from her Winter Kate collection.

She was joined by celebs like Zoe Saldana (in a sexy Vionnet LBD) and Anna Kendrick, who failed to impress me in a gold Gianfranco Ferre dress and booties.
