Red-Carpet Recap: "Friends With Benefits" Premiere (New York)

Posted by babu 12:35pm GMT

Celebs looked red-hot at the "Friends With Benefits" premiere in New York last night.

Some of the night's steamiest styles included those of the film's lead actress Mila Kunis (who kept it simple, yet sensational, in an off-the-shoulder Lanvin sheath with allover ruching), once-again-red-head Emma Stone (who popped in a color-blocked and bowed Giambattista Valli ensemble and neutral heels) and Emmanuelle Chriqui (who left little to the imagination in a fuchsia bodice and peep-toe platforms).

While I've many times proclaimed Olivia Palermo as one of my personal style muses, I really wish she would've spiced things up a little bit for this premiere, as her conservative blouse and maxi combo would've fared better at a store opening or day event. Melissa George also missed the mark in a silk wrap-dress that managed to completely wash her out.

Which star's sexy premiere style is your fave?

Trend to Try: Ochre

Posted by babu 10:33am GMT

Actress Melissa George was the latest star to jump on the ochre train, wearing a sunny sensation to the Costume Institute Gala.

She followed the likes of Diane Kruger (in Jason Wu) and Michelle Williams, who sparked the trend back in 2006 when she stole the spotlight in a plunging Vera Wang gown at the 78th Annual Academy Awards.

The hot hue made mass-market waves back in December, when it debuted as one of the central palettes of Rodarte's collection for Target.

Will you try this trend?

This Week's Fab Five

Posted by babu 12:39pm GMT

This week was all about sophisticated charm. And the winners are...

Taraji P. Henson electrifying in a bright blue dress from the Victoria Beckham Collection at the "Date Night" premiere in New York. The origami-like folding along the neckline and skirt of this dress offers a fresh take on the old sheath standby.

Olivia Palermo
glowing in a Ports 1961 gown at the 7th Annual New Yorkers for Children Spring Dinner Dance. Very rare is the occasion that I don't love what "The City" actress is wearing, and this is certainly no exception. Something about the strong neckline and oversized belt says she means business.

Malin Akerman rocking a Miu Miu sheath at the Gen Art Film Festival premiere of “Happythankyoumoreplease” in New York. The coral branch-like detailing throughout this dress really pops. The actress plays up the color even more with a matching clutch.

Melissa George mesmerizing in a steel gray gown at the 7th Annual New Yorkers for Children Spring Dinner Dance. While the details on this dress are kept to a minimum, the plunging neckline and thigh-high slit ooze seduction. I also like the actress's emerald drop earring pairing.

Demi Moore
donning a magenta Marchesa number at “The Joneses" premiere in Los Angeles. Not only is Demi wearing a color other than black (shocker!), but she opted for silver pumps. Kudos!

Which star's red-carpet look is truly sensational?

Style Showdown: Melissa vs. Leighton

Posted by babu 10:36am GMT

Actress Melissa George made a bold statement in a digital-print sheath designed by Marios Schwab yesterday at the LONDON show ROOMS Cocktail Party in New York.

The dress was previously spotted on Leighton Meester at the "You Know You Want It Style - Inspiration - Confidence" Book Launch Party in November.

Who wore Marios Schwab better?
