Red-Carpet Recap: "Burlesque" Premiere (Los Angeles)

Posted by babu 2:58pm GMT

Not surprisingly, the "Burlesque" premiere in Los Angeles was characterized by sexy (and sometimes skimpy) showstoppers.

Some of the more notable red-carpet looks included those of film stars Christina Aguilera (in a beautifully draped, spearmint-colored Elie Saab gown) and Cher (who got leggy in a sky-high LBD with lace overlay), as well as actress Debi Mazar (who made a statement in a burgundy jacquard Carolina Herrera dress with peekaboo neckline).

Country crooner Julianne Hough (in a gold Georges Hobeika dress and gold peep-toe platforms) and Rebecca Gayheart (in a raspberry jacquard Monique Lhuillier sheath) also left imprints.

Which celeb's "Burlesque" look deserves five stars?

Red-Carpet Recap: Ninth Annual Chrysalis Butterfly Ball

Posted by babu 4:37pm GMT

Celebs looked beautiful at the Ninth Annual Chrysalis Butterfly Ball, hosted by Rebecca Gayheart and husband Eric Dane.

Some of my favorite looks included those of Sophia Bush (in a classic, champagne-colored gown) and Eva Mendes, who looked like a Grecian goddess in a white gown outlined with gold beading.

See more photos from the Chrysalis Butterfly Ball now.

Red-Carpet Recap: More Romantic "Valentine's Day" Dresses

Posted by babu 1:40pm GMT

Well, not all of the dress that were spotted on the stars (and celeb guests) of the new rom-com "Valentine's Day" were lovable.

Julia Roberts' lace Dior LBD is perfect for a quiet date night, while her niece and actress Emma Roberts' youthful Jenny Packham number is ideal for flirting at cocktail parties. And while I just adore the always glowing Garcelle Beauvais-Nilon, her edgier Versace design is best left for the rock-and-rollers.

Jessica Alba was a miss in dark mussed hair, retro platforms and an unflattering A-line Proenza Schouler dress, but Demi Moore made up for it in a fitted Chanel hit. And Rebecca Gayheart, in a sumptuous silk jersey gown that shows off her pregnancy curves, is just as stunning.
