In honor of tonight's People's Choice Awards, I decided to take a look back at last year's show (you know, to which Kate Hudson wore those colorblock platforms responsible for sparking the entire statement shoe movement circa last spring?!).
And some of the (blonde) style highlights included:
Kate Hudson wearing a palm leaf-printed, asymmetrical gown designed by Gucci. Unlike the typical Hawaiian t-shirt fare, the combination of this casual style and Kate's beachy tresses was easy, breezy, beautiful.
Carrie Underwood glowing in a tangerine-colored Jenny Packham dress. The colorful beading along the halter and hem of this dress, from the designer's Spring 2009 collection, made it one of my favorite of the season. It has also been worn by Julianne Hough and Kelly Rowland.
Dakota Fanning in a cobalt blue BCBG one-strap dress. This pleated piece marked one of the first signs of Dakota growing up.
Jennifer Morrison rocking a metallic number by Gianfranco Ferre. At the time, this dress appeared to be completely out of Jennifer's seemingly prim style character, so it was really refreshing to see her wearing it.
