Dare to Wear: Katy Perry

Always one to get in the spirit of a theme, Katy Perry rocked a sparkling Smurfette-clad skater dress created by stage costume designing duo The Blonds at "The Smurfs" World Premiere in New York.

Perhaps taking a cue from Smurfette herself, she also lightened up her 'do.

Quick-Change Artist: Katy Perry

Katy Perry debuted a crystal floral embellished corset by The Blonds before changing into not one, but two, colorful creations (one paper-cutout dress and one that reminds me of something straight out of Fairytopia) created by Todd Thomas.

I personally found the outfit in the center (which reminds me of a yellow raincoat) to be the most interesting of the three, as I don't recall seeing anything like it before.

Two Ways to Wear: Spiked Shoulder Dresses

The Official Dress of One-Name Pop Singers has been confirmed: a spiked-shoulder flashy minidress. Look for Pink, Shakira, Britney and Madonna to be sporting the severe style soon.

I never thought anyone would dare to emulate Rihanna's recent dangerous design by The Blonds. But fellow singer Fergie couldn’t resist nailing down her own spike dress to wear to last night's Grammy Nominations event.
