Fashion Formula: Blake Lively’s Solid Sexy Style

Is it a mere coincidence that Blake’s last name is Lively? The Gossip Girl’s classy-meets-sexy style has given the fashion world a wake up call and keeps people talking about her red carpet looks.

Blake regularly selects designer pieces that show off a sexy body part (or two) to the max. But to keep the look on the elegant side (even in a naval-revealing white Marchesa brocade jacket or scarlet Versace gown), the young actress skips prints, and sticks to a classic palette of black, white and red solids.

Christmas decorations get pulled out earlier and earlier each year, and the same seems to be is true for holiday-inspired red carpet looks. It's not even December and we've already spotted plenty of gift-wrapped celebs.

Eva Longoria Parker’s bow festooned dress (on November 16) is definitely in the spirit of Christmas, by leaves her looking more like a Santa’s Helper than a sophisticated star.

Chloe Sevigny’s Miu Miu dress sports a sparkling silver bow, but the bedazzled style plus prim high collar is an odd combo, and tough for anyone to pull off –even a trend setter like Chloe.

Blake Lively recently left fellow party guests speechless when she left her house sans shirt in a Marchesa jacket and short shorts. Her look lent a new meaning to the word “bodacious.”
