Style Showdown: Lucy Liu vs. Amber Heard

Lucy Liu looked polished in a nude 3.1 Phillip Lim sheath (from the Spring 2011 collection) at the Erickson Beamon: The Redemption of Eve & Return to the Garden event in New York earlier this month.

Personal style crush (aside from Olivia Palermo) Amber Heard was the first to rock the complexly textured and piped creation to a party hosted by Fox back in May.

While I love Lucy's bold shoe pairing, her bulky purple handbag ruins her look for me, so I'm giving this one to Amber.

Dare to Wear: Ginnifer Goodwin

Ginnifer Goodwin looked part human, part porcupine in a cinched 3.1 Phillip Lim LBD with heavy embellishing along the sleeves last week during the 2011 TCA Summer Press Tour.

The "Big Love" star added extra spunk to her spiky style with lace peep-toe booties.

Style Steal: Vivica A. Fox's 3.1 Phillip Lim Dress

Let me just preface this style steal by saying it's been a LONG time in the making.

Ever since I first spotted Michelle Williams wearing this 3.1 Phillip Lim dress with a semi-sweetheart neckline and beaded detailing along the collarbone, I've been on the hunt for a reasonably-priced dress with similar attributes.

So you can imagine my pleasant surprise when yesterday, two celeb sightings (Vivica A. Fox and South Korean singer YoonA opted for the navy version) and countless searches later, I was scouring the Forever 21 site and met my dress's darker, and much more affordable, match. Now I just have to find something to wear it to. A fall wedding, perhaps?!

Style Showdown: Samia vs. Lauren

Actress Samia Smith sparkled at the British Soap Awards wearing a sequined sheath from the 3.1 Phillip Lim Resort 2009 collection, the same dress previously worn by Lauren Conrad at "The Hills" Season Four Finale back in 2008.

While the eye-catching number looks great on both ladies, I love how Lauren's metallic shoes brought out the glints of gold throughout the dress.

I’m Obsessed With...Trendy Tuxedo Jackets

Is it because awards season has officially kicked off that I am completely obsessed with topping all my looks with a menswear-inspired tuxedo jacket?

In London, the equally talented singer sister of Kylie Minogue, Danni Minogue, wore her satin suit topper to cruise through the airport, which proves the look is not just for red carpet events.

Eva Mendes makes a demure 3.1 Phillip Lim lace dress more contemporary by combining it with an unexpected shark-skin blazer from the same designer.

And while Olivia Wilde's classic suit look is a chic take on the dapper menswear style, I am craving Jenny McCarthy's edgier silhouette created by the strong shoulder of her Balmain jacket.

Is Rachel Bilson taking a break from Chanel?! The actress, who's been featured in several mags for her killer style pairings, has been spotted all over Los Angeles toting this 3.1 Phillip Lim handbag.

Embellishments along the large bow and shoulder strap give the otherwise prissy purse an edgy feel.

Dare to Wear: Kristin Cavallari

For most women, the thought of having their hips and thighs visually enlarged by row after row of ruffles and zippers is nothing short of nightmarish. Most women, but not Kristin Cavallari.

The "Hills" star paired her 3.1 Phillip Lim zipper skirt with a Dolce & Gabbana corset for the Us Weekly Hot Hollywood event and, while I like the skirt worn with its zippered tank counterpart by the same designer, this look is a little too bottom heavy for me. I also don't like how the belt serves to harshen the difference in shape.
