Style Showdown: Ashley Greene vs. Kristen Bell

Posted by kgranero 5:34pm GMT

Ashley Greene (in custom DKNY) and Kristen Bell (in Valentino) were on the same wardrobe wavelength for the 2012 People's Choice Awards, to which both ladies wore leather and lace dresses.

While Ashley is usually stunning no matter what she wears, her LBD (which was a tad too tight in the bust area and lacked overall cohesiveness) and boring black pump pairing really failed her, leaving Kristen the winner in my eyes.

Which star's mixed-media dress is your fave?

Battle of the Briefs: Rachel McAdams vs. Ashley Greene for Glamour

Posted by kgranero 2:48pm GMT

A fresh-faced (and uber flirty) Rachel McAdams graces the cover of Glamour's February 2012 issue, in which the 33-year-old actress dishes on her latest role in "Midnight in Paris," dating co-stars and what goes into styling a character:

"I love those preliminary conversations about who a character is. You try on wigs, shoes and clothes. It's preferable when it's not about looking pretty. It can get a little dull to just be cute. We talk about things like, maybe my character can't afford these Christian Louboutins. [The stylist] will say, "No one will notice." And I'm like, "Everyone knows that red-bottom shoe!"

If this cover looks familiar, it's because Ashley Greene wore a strikingly similar knicker (both stars are shown wearing Dolce & Gabbana) and tied blouse ensemble for Glamour's May 2011 cover shoot.

Which cover star looked more beautiful in D&G briefs?

Red-Carpet Recap: "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1" Premiere (Los Angeles)

Posted by kgranero 3:20pm GMT

Leading "Twilight" ladies Kristen Stewart, Ashley Greene and Nikki Reed pulled out all the stops at what just might be the best-dressed "Twilight" premiere yet.

Kristen (who even managed to crack a smile in a partially-sheer J. Mendel Gown) and Nikki (who looked like a Grecian goddess in Marchesa) sparkled the night away, while Ashley took the romantic route in a red-ruffled Donna Karan gown and matching lip.

Red-Carpet Recap: 2011 Teen Choice Awards

Posted by babu 2:05pm GMT

Classy met sassy at this year's Teen Choice Awards, where styles ranged from cha-cha worthy minis to ballroom-bound gowns.

Fashion front-runners included multiple award winner Taylor Swift (who kept it classy in a Marilyn-esque Rafael Cennamo dress and bowed platforms), Kaley Cuoco (who romanced in a pleated and tiered Rebecca Taylor gown) and Ashley Greene (who showed off her bod in a mod black and white Givenchy sheath and strappy sandals).

Shay Mitchell (in a red blouse and sequined mini combo from DKNY) and Lucy Hale (in a black and blush cutout bodice with beautiful beading throughout) also proved strong contenders.

Who stole the spotlight at the 2011 Teen Choice Awards?

This Week's Fab Five

Posted by babu 5:00pm GMT

This week was all about the 2011 Met Gala. And the winners are...

Dakota Fanning
in Valentino Resort. The young actress, who is known for wearing Valentino on the red carpet, looked like a fairytale come true in this tulle gown, which was blooming with floral apploques.

Ginnifer Goodwin in Topshop Unique. The "Something Borrowed" actress made a bold statement in this emerald green cutout gown, which she accessorized with turquoise-hinted jewelry, shoes and makeup.

Ashley Greene in Donna Karan. The "Twilight" star stole the spotlight in this sequin-covered gown, which featured a sweetheart neckline and a train for extra drama.

Maggie Gyllenhaal in Stella McCartney. Perhaps one of my biggest surprises of the night, the usually casual Maggie was the epitome of glamour in this sparkling, midnight-hued gown, which coasted along the actress's every curve.

Diane Kruger in Jason Wu. This gown (which was designed by one of Diane's favorite designers) struck the perfect balance between sophisticated and sexy. The intricate sequin detailing along its bodice and Diane's exposed leg were equally eye-catching.

Who was your best-dressed at the Met Gala?

Colored Denim: Trend or Foe?

Posted by babu 2:31pm GMT

Bold fashionistas like Kim Kardashian, Sarah Jessica Parker and Ashley Greene are taking the casual approach to the color-blocking trend by mixing their favorite tees with saturated shades of denim.

While I'm still a bit weary of pastels and neons, a primary-hued pair (as shown above) tends to add just enough punch without looking too juvenile.

What's your take on colored denim?

Style Showdown: Blake Lively vs. Ashley Greene

Posted by babu 5:29pm GMT

Back in May, I featured this pic (above left) of Ashley Greene in her Antonio Berardi dress and asked Insiders to vote on whether peekaboo dresses account for a trend or foe.

Apparently, Blake Lively would vote trend, considering she wore an all-black version of the same lacy sensation at "The Town" premiere in Boston just several months later.

I like this dress in both colors, on both ladies, so this one's a toss-up for me.

Who wore Antonio Berardi better?

Red-Carpet Recap: 2010 Teen Choice Awards

Posted by babu 12:33pm GMT

2010 Teen Choice Awards Red-Carpet Pictures

Last night’s red-carpet at the 2010 Teen Choice Awards proved to be long on stars and short on length. With the exception of a few starlets, the hemlines hit new heights with stars like Lea Michele, Selena Gomez, Kim Kardashian (of COURSE) and Ashley Greene showing some serious stems.

And as usual, some outfits left us scratching our heads (see Megan Fox’s aluminum-inspired skirt and Heather Morris’ all kinds of wacky ensemble).

Giveaway alert: We're giving away the same gift bag given to celebrities at last night's event, courtesy of Backstage Creations. Some of the fab finds included are a Palm Pixi Phone, a Vivitar Video Camera, an InStyler Hair Tool and Adidas sneakers.

To enter for a chance to win, leave a comment on the 2010 Teen Choice Awards Fashion lookbook on All the Looks.

Red-Carpet Recap: 2010 ESPY Awards

Posted by babu 12:09pm GMT

Celeb sports fans kept it simple (and downright sexy!) for the 2010 ESPY Awards.

Some of my favorite looks included those of "Entourage" actress Emmanuelle Chrique (who heated things up in a leather and mesh BCBG Max Azria LBD), Ashley Greene (who spiced things up with a red Versace slit-dress and matching lip) and Amber Rose (who looked surprisingly sweet in a yellow Natalia Romano gown).

Which star's ESPY Awards style is your fave?
