D&G Lines Up for the Last Time

D&G (Italian label Dolce & Gabbana's younger, and often splashier, line, which also encompasses watches and fragrance) piled on the paisley prints for what is now being referred to as its last show.

According the several sources (including WWD), the brand announced the pending discontinuation following this morning's Spring-Summer 2012 RTW presentation in Milan.

Style Showdown: Naomi Campbell vs. Lucy Liu

Just when I thought the Dolce & Gabbana star saga was over, Naomi Campbell showed up in a celestial shift from the designer's Fall 2011 collection at the Pirelli Hub opening in Milan yesterday.

If you recall, Lucy Liu wore the same sequined stunner while performing with The Bullits in Ledbury just last month.

While both ladies made a statement in this dress, I like how Lucy took hers to new heights with some rock n' roll styling, whereas Naomi's dress appears to be wearing HER.

One Designer, Two Ways: Dolce & Gabbana

Taiwanese model and actress Pace Wu had everyone seeing stars (from the hugely-popular Dolce & Gabbana Fall 2011 collection) at a recent commercial event in Shanghai, China.

If you recall, Fergie wore the same color combo at this year's Teen Choice Awards just a few weeks back.

While both ladies looked fierce in their celestial styles, I like how the the inverted bodice on Fergie's dress added more dimension to her overall look, so I'm giving this one to her.

Celebs Can't Get Enough of Dolce & Gabbana Stars

Who says celebs don't get star-struck?

In the three weeks following my last post featuring leading ladies wearing starry styles from Dolce & Gabbana's Fall 2011 collection, all four of Lucy Liu, Olivia Wilde, Jessica Alba and, most recently, Fergie (at the Teen Choice Awards) have opted for celestial prints from the collection.

In addition, Anne Hathaway was photographed wearing a piece from the collection for the cover of the Marie Claire UK September issue.

Selena Gomez Falls Under the Dolce & Gabbana Spell

And so the lacy Dolce & Gabbana mini saga continues...

Following the footsteps of Kate Bosworth, Diane Kruger and Alessandra Ambrosio, Selena Gomez wore the popular lacy (and embellished) mini from the Dolce & Gabbana Spring 2011 collection to the 22nd Annual MuchMusic Video Awards in Toronto this past weekend.

While I can see the allure of this dress (it's short, sparkly and quintessentially spring/summer), I can't help but think this dress has come to the end of its long and overused road.
