Style Showdown: Kim Kardashian vs. Britney Spears

Posted by babu 11:26am GMT

Are Kim Kardashian and Britney Spears on the same style cycle?!

The reality TV star was sighted wearing a psychedelic Herve Leger bodice while out and about in Florida on what appears to be the SAME DAY that pop sensation Britney walked the red carpet in the maze of a dress at the 102.7 KIIS FM's Wango Tango 2011 Concert.

As previously noted, I wasn't hugely receptive to Britney's mid-calf boot pairing with this dress so, based on footwear alone (okay, and maybe Kim's killer curves), I'm giving this one to Miss Kardashian.

Who wore Herve Leger better?

Britney Spears' "Femme Fatale" Style: Love It or Leave It?

Posted by babu 2:48pm GMT

Britney Spears has stepped back onto the red carpet scene lately, no doubt in hopes to create some buzz just in time for her Femme Fatale tour (scheduled to kick off this summer).

Style Showdown: Kimora Lee Simmons vs. Kristen Stewart

Posted by babu 12:21pm GMT

If the bright orange tunic worn by Kimora Lee Simmons to the Tommy Hilfiger 25th Anniversary celebration looks familiar, it's because Kristen Stewart sported the same striped sensation (sans pants) to the "Adventureland" premiere in Los Angeles in March of last year.

I think the punchy piece (created by Herve Leger) works well with both looks, each one adhering to the celebs' individual styles, so I'm calling this one a tie.

Dare to Wear: Leighton Meester

Posted by babu 2:36pm GMT

Will the real Leighton Meester please stand up?!

Just days before I spotted the actress channeling her inner Blair Waldorf in a green peacoat, tights and stilettos on-set, she was at the Haze Nightclub at the Aria Resort & Casino at CityCenter wearing this getup.

Not only am I over the distressed denim trend as a whole, this dress (from the Herve Leger by Max Azria Spring 2010 collection) is just plain ugly.

It appears as though Leighton got in a fight with a chalkboard and lost.

Would you dare to wear this look?

Fashion Formula: Robin Wright Penn's Bringing Sexy Back

Posted by babu 10:05pm GMT

I am going to leave out any “wash that man right out of my hair” speculation about Robin Wright Penn’s new darker ‘do at her “The Private Lives of Pippa Lee” premiere last night and focus on the recent change in her red carpet fashions.

The “Forrest Gump” star never made a big fashion statement in the past, as seen by her similar and safe dress choices in Cannes earlier this year, so could her sexy look be a signal for her recent singleton status?

Wright Penn first debuted her new found love of skin-tight black mini dresses at the Toronto Festival in September (a month after splitting from Sean Penn) and again last night in a black Herve Leger
bandage dress with minimal hair and make-up.

And, while there is no denying the 43-year-old looks stunning in her new clothes, the star could probably benefit from “how to dress sultry not slutty” advice from celeb peer Demi Moore
who always exudes sex appeal without revealing as much anatomical detail.

What do think of Robin's new sexier style?

Pop Queens Come Out to Honor Their King

Posted by babu 12:22am GMT

Jennifer Lopez and “Hairspray” star Nikki Blonsky are both triple threats in the talent arena (singing/acting/dancing) and have envious curv-a-licious figures.

But last night, at the “This Is It” Michael Jackson documentary premieres, these two stars, both with black looks, metallic accents, oversized clutch bag and swept-back hair, faced off in a style showdown on separate coasts.

Most would give an easy win to Lopez’s flashier (and pricier) Herve Leger beaded bandage dress and attitude boots, but I love Blonsky’s peep-toe platforms, sheer belted tank and bronze clutch.

Jennifer may be able to pay for her look – even if it’s just borrowed for the night – but Nikki’s more accessible chic style is something we can recreate from our own closets.

Whose look do you prefer?

The Most Stylish Avon Ladies Ever – and One Man

Posted by babu 8:38pm GMT

Maybe Avon should start selling clothes!

Last night, Avon ambassador Reese Witherspoon and a few famous friends honored those who fight against breast cancer and domestic violence at an event with the Avon Foundation.

Reese explains, “The initiatives of the Avon Foundation raise critical funds and awareness to combat breast cancer around the world. As a woman, a mother and the Honorary Chair of the Avon Foundation, I am proud to lend my support to this cause.”

Here’s a rundown of who’s who on the red carpet and who wore what (left to right):

Patrick Dempsey, the face of Avon’s Unscripted fragrance for men, leaves us speechless.

Fergie, in feathered Valentino, performed at the event and stands next to Avon CEO Andrea Jung, in pink.

Reese has all eyes on her in a perfectly tailored Narciso Rodriguez Spring 2010 dress that reminds me of the Christopher Kane dress Whitney Port wore to the MTV VMAs.

Speaking of MTV stars, Lauren Conrad proves she has the beach body to pull off her skintight Herve Leger bandage dress. (Thanks to Beauty Maverick for also posting how to get Conrad's retro beauty look.)

Last, and least in the style category, is Courteney Cox, who looks a little blah in a cascading ruffle dress.
