This Week's Fab Five

Posted by babu 2:18pm GMT

This week was all about rich hues. And the winners are...

Lea Michele
wearing a bright yellow Zac Posen gown at the 2010 Tony Awards. The color, and mermaid cut, of this dress are right on trend for the season. I also like how Lea braved an equally saturated red lip.

Scarlett Johansson
rocking a dark green Elie Saab gown at the 2010 Tony Awards. The cutouts, allover sparkle and unique, almost grungy shade of this gown really set it apart on the red carpet.

Perrey Reeves
ravishing in a red Michelle Jonas gown at the "Entourage" Season 7 premiere. While simple, this gown fell beautifully on the actress, and the thigh-high slit added extra fuel to the fire.

Jennifer Lopez
sparkling in a metallic Gianfranco Ferr dress at the 2010 Apollo Theater Spring Benefit. This plunging little number managed to accentuate every one of the star's killer curves.

Catherine Zeta-Jones
charming in a light blue Atelier Versace gown at the 2010 Tony Awards. Gorgeous chandelier earrings completed the actress's Cinderella-worthy ensemble.

Bold colors were met with even bolder designs at the 64th Annual Tony Awards.

Some of my favorite looks included those of Scarlett Johansson, who rocked an edgy Elie Saab cutout gown, Catherine Zeta-Jones, in a Cinderella-blue Atelier Versace gown, and Lea Michele, who stood out in a bright yellow Zac Posen fishtail number.

“Iron Man 2” star Scarlett Johansson is as colorful on the red carpet as she is on the big screen.

Best-Dressed at the White House Correspondents' Association Dinner

Posted by babu 12:22pm GMT

Stars pulled out all the stops for the 2010 White House Correspondents' Association Dinner over the weekend.

While there was a variety of amazing styles, some of my favorites included those of Kim Kardashian (in a futuristic, black and cream gown), Scarlett Johansson (in a pink sweetheart neckline Miu Miu number and matching heels) and Jessica Alba, who rocked a peplum Marios Schwab gown with Swarovski crystal flowers along the neckline.

This Week's Fab Five

Posted by babu 12:30pm GMT

This week was all about simple sensations. And the winners are...

Gwyneth Paltrow in an Antonio Berardi number at the Chopard Gala in New York City. While extremely conservative, this gown still manages to look seductive.

Scarlett Johansson
rocking a sculpted Armani Priv dress at the “Iron Man 2" premiere in Los Angeles. The actress adds a touch of sparkle with glittery shoes and clutch.

Halle Berry wearing a Vera Wang gown at the Shanghai Bazaar Charity Gala. I love the contrast of the black sheer overlay against the skintone fabric of this gown.

Kate Hudson
looking polished in a lavender satin dress at the Chopard Gala in New York City. The actress spruced up the simple creation with a colorful bead necklace and beige platforms.

Jessica Alba
in a breezy Chloe gown at “The Killer Inside Me” screening in New York. This bohemian princess look is a fresh break from the bolder, more forward styles rocked by Jessica as of late.

Which star's red-carpet look is most sensational?

Red-Carpet Recap: "Iron Man 2" World Premiere

Posted by babu 11:35am GMT

The strength was in the seams at the "Iron Man 2" World Premiere last night.

My favorite celeb looks included those of Scarlett Johansson (in a sculpted Armani Priv dress) and Michelle Monaghan, who rocked a magenta sheath with playful twisting down the center.

The film's leading lady, Gwyneth Paltrow, rocked a bright white Armani short-and-blazer combo.

Downgrade: Scarlett Johansson's Frumpy Floral Frock

Posted by babu 3:07pm GMT

We haven't seen the lovely Scarlett Johansson on the red carpet in MONTHS since she started rehearsals for the Arthur Miller play "A View From the Bridge."

While theater critics praised her performance, we Scar-Jo fashion fans were confused by the mousy grandma dress she wore for the play's premiere this week. Her frumpy frock looked like the costume for the post-war Italian-American betrothed character she plays on stage.

Not that Johansson can't wow us in retro looks: At her last big red-carpet moment, the star looked divine in a perfect pencil skirt by Mango, her namesake red lips and romantic curls.

Is this star's recent look an "upgrade" or a "downgrade" from her last one?

Quick-Change Artists: One Day, Four Looks

Posted by babu 9:39am GMT

When the Moët & Chandon champagne company throws a party, there is even more reason to break out the party dresses.

Recently, to help celebrate the opening of the bubbly maker’s new Atelier Moët pop-up shop in London, which will sell custom Swarovski monogrammed bottles, stars Eva Mendes and Scarlett Johansson showed off four looks in one afternoon.

For a photo shoot earlier in the day, Scarlett layered grays while Eva’s swirled print dress evoked a retro vibe. Later in the day, Scarlett lightened up in a floral print style and matching heels, while Eva beamed in a sunshine yellow dress and a pair of lust-worthy $1,295 Christian Louboutin Galaxy pumps.

Two Ways to Wear: High-Waist Styles

Posted by babu 3:18pm GMT

The high-waist jeans trend may be on the rise (mom jeans, anyone?), but the retro look of high-waisted dresses and skirts seen on the red carpet is much more figure friendly.

Eva Longoria Parker was spotted in a Nicole Miller dress in late October that magically lengthened her torso. The look, combined with a little extra length at the hem, morphs petite Eva into a statuesque model for the day.

And Scarlett Johansson already has a classic retro vibe going on with her gorgeous good looks. But in this high waist skirt from Mango, she looks like a modern day version of Grace Kelly.

This Week's Fab Five

Posted by babu 2:43pm GMT

This week was all about...puttin' on the ritz. And the winners are...

Taylor Swift sparkling in a Reem Acra gown at the 2009 CMA Awards. The sequin detailing on this dress is every little girl's fairytale come true.

Kristen Bell in TIBI at the Assassin's Creed II Launch Party. Though from the Spring 2010 collection, the bold, allover black print on this sheath is right on trend for fall.

Jennifer Nettles
glowing in a Luisa Beccaria gown. The ruffled detailing along this fishtail train gives the otherwise sophisticated dress a flirty feel.

Lauren Conrad
rocking a mini shift dress and Joie Arietta sequined blazer at the Assassin's Creed II Launch Party. This blazer gives the otherwise basic dress instant party potential.

Kristen Stewart
wearing a chiffon J. Mendel sweetheart dress at "The Twilight Saga: New Moon" photocall in Paris. While the tomboy doesn't exactly own her look, it is the only one I've seen her in and loved. The ruched bodice and draped skirt take this dress from simple to sensational (reminds me of something Taylor Swift might wear).

Which star has the ritziest style?
