Suit Showdown: Kirsten Dunst vs. Leelee Sobieski

While many celebs seized the opportunity to show off their feminine figures at the CFDA Fashion Awards, Kirsten Dunst and Leelee Sobieski proved wild cards in night-and-day suits.

Kirsten wore a black Patrik Ervell suit with ombre-blue lining along the blazer (paired with a white bouse), while Leelee (who's known for her eclectic taste in fashion) kept it clean in an ivory Adam Kimmel suit, also paired with a white blouse.

I've been having a serious white/cream suit moment ever since seeing Rihanna in that sexy Marchesa number at the Billboard Music Awards, so I'm going to have to give this one to Leelee.

This Week's Fab Five

This week was all about glitz and glamour. And the winners are...

Gwen Stefani in L.A.M.B. at the�2011 amfAR Cinema Against AIDS Gala.�The singer and mom of two looked like Hollywood Barbie in�this gold-belted fishtail gown featuring a lace collar and allover shimmer, which proved my favorite gown of the week.���

Jane Fonda in Roberto Cavalli at the 2011 amfAR Cinema Against AIDS Gala. The actress and fitness�buff�proved�she's still�got it (at age 73) in�this gorgeous, sequin-leopard-spotted gown, which she�accented with emerald drop earrings.��

Penelope Cruz in Armani Prive at the “Pirates Of The Caribbean: On Stranger Tides” premiere in Germany. Penelope looked red-hot (even for her) in this fiery, taffeta gown.

Kirsten Dunst in Chanel Couture at the 2011 amfAR Cinema Against AIDS Gala. While this�romantic�gown definitely had an old-fashioned feel to it, the�multi-patterned detailing�on the sheer overlay�came off as�fresh and modern. I also love how Kirsten sharpened her otherwise soft look with a bold lip.

Bar Refaeli in Roberto Cavalli at the 2011 Cannes Film Festival. The newly single model showcased her�smokin' bod�in this curve-hugging creation, which boasted cutouts and a sequin lined collar for extra sex appeal.

Dare to Wear: Kirsten Dunst vs. Anne Hathaway

Kirsten Dunst and Anne Hathaway both rocked inky (and rather quirky) styles this past weekend.

Kirsten's ensemble consisted of a Proenza Schouler tee and skirt ensemble, which she awkwardly paired with flower-applique sandals, whereas Anne got frisky in a fringed Gucci dress, gladiator heels and some serious specs.

Red Carpet Recap: Haute Couture Paris Fashion Week

Hollywood's couture climbers have been caught up in the high-end fashion heaven that is Haute Couture Paris Fashion Week.

Some of my favorite looks to have surfaced thus far include those of Diane Kruger (who showed off her edgier side in a heavy-metal, haltered Gucci dress), Olivia Wilde (who also got gutsy in a Gucci color-block jumpsuit and tribal necklace and sandals) and Jessica Alba (who sizzled in a sparkly, asymmetrical Gucci sheath and delicate ankle-strap sandals).

Kirsten Dunst and Alexa Chung took the more classical route in a midnight-colored, pleated Chanel number (Kirsten) and a Chanel tuxedo dress (from the Fall 2010 Couture collection (Alexa).

Red-Carpet Recap: 2010 MOCA Gala

Subtle (okay, maybe not SO subtle) seduction was the name of the game at the 2010 MOCA Gala.

Some of my favorite looks included those of Kate Bosworth (who looked classic in a black chiffon Chanel gown with floral detailing), Kirsten Dunst (who radiated a soft elegance in a cream, multi-tiered chiffon Chanel gown and contrasting black clutch) and Rose McGowan (who proved quite the temptress in a teal Issa gown that plunged in front).

Runners-up included Chloe Sevigny (who broke the mold in a cream and black Chanel menswear number complete with suspenders) and Kristin Davis (who looked fit for the cha-cha in a red taffeta Oscar de la Renta dress).

Cannes Film Festival (Weekend Highlights)

Celebs continued to pull out all the stops during the Cannes Film Festival this past weekend. Some of my favorite looks included those of Diane Kruger, who rocked a hot pink and black Jason Wu gown, Salma Hayek, who looked regal in Gucci Première, and Kate Beckinsale, in a multi-tiered Nina Ricci number.

Less impressive was Kirsten Dunst, who wore a baby blue Chanel gown tucked sloppily under her chest.

Red Carpet to Real Life: Rodarte for Target Stores

Since it was announced a few months ago that the sister team Kate and Laura Mulleavy behind the avant-garde fashion line Rodarte would create a collection for Target, I have been anticipating seeing what they would come up with. Wait no more!

Images of the new line from the editors’ preview just hit the internet, so you can do a little pre-shopping before the items reach Target stores on December 20 this year.

Based on the pics, the affordable new collection will contain lots of deconstructed and layered tulle dresses, similar to the styles we have seen on the red carpet, in addition to the trendy neon leopard prints that having been spotted prowling awards shows.
