"Transformers" Style Showdown: Rosie Huntington-Whiteley vs. Megan Fox

Posted by babu 6:04pm GMT

Love her or hate her, I think we can all agree that Megan Fox (shown here in Kaufman Franco) isn't exactly tough on the eyes, so I was skeptical as to whether the head honchos behind "Transformers" were going to be able to find a new leading smokin' enough to "out-babe" her.

That was until I saw this photo of actress Rosie Huntington-Whiteley at the "Transformers: Dark of the Moon" Premiere in New York and thought to myself "Megan Fox who?!"

Rose, shown here looking drop-dead gorgeous in a red Antonio Berardi bustier gown (FYI, Megan is also a fan of the designer), plays the role of "Carly" in the franchise's latestfilm, in theaters today.

Which leading "Transformers" lady is more wow-worthy?

This Week's Fab Five

Posted by babu 5:52pm GMT

This week was all about looking like a lady. And the winners are...

Aimee Teegarden
in Pamella Roland at the "Prom" premiere in Los Angeles. The starlet looked beautiful in this heavily-beaded chiffon gown, which was just sweet enough without looking too immature.

Megan Fox in Juan Carlos Obando at Jaguar’s celebration to honor the 50th Anniversary of the E-Type. The usually revealing actress proved a class act in this pastel, tie-halter sheath, which she paired with ankle-strap peep-toes.

Zoe Saldana in Isabel Marant at the Coach Benefit for the Children’s Defense Fund. The frilly, flirty nature of this dress has "Zoe" written all over it. The feminine actress added some extra spunk to her look with ankle-strap shoes and a python clutch.

Gwyneth Paltrow in Rachel Roy at the signing of her new cookbook “My Father’s Daughter.” Gwyneth has been on a serious hot streak lately, and this curve-hugging, yellow satin sheath, paired with sexy gladiator heels, served up even more fuel to the fire.

Reese Witherspoon in Jason Wu at the “Water For Elephants” premiere in New York. Sweet meets sassy in this lace-covered cocktail dress, which Reese glammed up with jewels and sparkling sandals.

Which star's ladylike style is your fave?

This Week's Fab Five

Posted by babu 3:56pm GMT

This week was all about the Golden Globe Awards. And the winners are...

Angelina Jolie
in Versace. I simply cannot express how refreshing it was to see Angelina choose a gown in any color other black, let alone this sensational spearment shade. A cinched waist, sculpted shoulders and allover shimmer further accentuated her Green Goddess physique.

Megan Fox in Armani Prive. This pastel-pink gown, complete with a gorgeous, crystal-encrusted bandage bodice, strikes the perfect balance between sexy and sophisticated.

Olivia Wilde in Marchesa. Olivia proved the belle of the ball in this black, tulle gown with taupe sequins cascading down, which was on the playful side compared to what we're used to seeing her in.

January Jones
in Versace. Mixed reviews aside, I thought the "Mad Men" star looked ravishingly retro in this hard-to-pull off cutout, fringed gown, which she topped off with a matching red lip.

Anne Hathaway in Armani Prive. While I've expressed disappointment in the predictability factor of Anne choosing this gown (which resembles several of the star's previous, Armani Prive-dominant red-carpet looks), there's no denying she looked like a real-life Golden Globe in this sequined, shoulder-sculpted gown.

Which star's Golden Globes look is your fave?

Red-Carpet Recap: 2010 Teen Choice Awards

Posted by babu 12:33pm GMT

2010 Teen Choice Awards Red-Carpet Pictures

Last night’s red-carpet at the 2010 Teen Choice Awards proved to be long on stars and short on length. With the exception of a few starlets, the hemlines hit new heights with stars like Lea Michele, Selena Gomez, Kim Kardashian (of COURSE) and Ashley Greene showing some serious stems.

And as usual, some outfits left us scratching our heads (see Megan Fox’s aluminum-inspired skirt and Heather Morris’ all kinds of wacky ensemble).

Giveaway alert: We're giving away the same gift bag given to celebrities at last night's event, courtesy of Backstage Creations. Some of the fab finds included are a Palm Pixi Phone, a Vivitar Video Camera, an InStyler Hair Tool and Adidas sneakers.

To enter for a chance to win, leave a comment on the 2010 Teen Choice Awards Fashion lookbook on All the Looks.

Rule Breakers or Trend Makers: Ballerina Girls

Posted by babu 8:09pm GMT

What girl who takes a dance class didn't want to grow up to be a ballerina? Obviously, some stars and a few designers definitely did, since tutus and ballet shoes have danced their way across the red carpet more than a few times.

Katy Perry looked ready to perform "Swan Lake" rather than hold a press conference last night for the MTV European Music Awards. Her pale blush feather dress is by Jenny Packham while the shoes that make her look like she's on pointe are Louis Vuitton.

Model Daisy Lowe wore an adorable (and quite wearable) ballerina-inspired look by Louis Vuitton to attend the fashion house's Spring runway show in Paris a month ago, while Megan Fox was in ample pink tulle for the 2008 MTV Music Awards.

However, who could ever forget (well, maybe you did, so here is a pic to remind you) Lara Flynn Boyle's famous night as prima donna of the red carpet at the 2003 Golden Globes.

Bells of the Ball

Posted by babu 7:01pm GMT

Since I first spotted Jessica Alba wearing this larger-than-life Dolce & Gabbana dress (above) back in 2008, I've been on a serious lookout for a bell that could trump it.

That said, you can only imagine the sense of satisfaction I felt when I recently came across this image of Agatha Ruiz de la Prada at the BBVA New Promotional Initiative Launch. Now that's a bell worth bragging about!

Less daring celebs, such as Megan Fox and Keri Hilson, have been opting for slimmer, shorter versions of the wide wonder and, while these of course manage to blend in a little easier on the red carpet, I say: "If you're gonna do it, do it right."

Would you brave a bell-bottom?
