Style Showdown: "The Hills" vs. "Jersey Shore"

Reality TV stood its ground at the MTV Video Music Awards, thanks to a handful of leggy stars from "The Hills" and "Jersey Shore."

In true "Hills" cast fashion, Audrina Patridge, Stephanie Pratt and Lauren "Lo" Bosworth sported sparkly sensations, while "Jersey Shore" girls Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi and Sammi "Sweetheart" Giancola opted for paisley prints.

I prefer "The Hills" girls' styles, especially when it comes to Stephanie Pratt's colorful Nicole Miller maxi dress.

Red-Carpet Recap: Second Annual Give & Get Fete

Asymmetrical styles dominated at the Give & Get Fete benefiting Dress For Success Worldwide-West yesterday in West Hollywood.

Among the variety of actresses and TV personalities in attendance were Audrina Patridge (in an asymmetrical, marble dress by David Meister), Bridget Marquardt (in a turquoise romper and neon pink peep-toes) and Garcelle Beauvais (who rocked a multicolored, mosaic-like print, also by Meister).

Best Dressed at "The Hills" Series Finale Party

Lauren Conrad and Co. took the short and sweet approach to style at "The Hills" Season Finale Party last night in Hollywood.

Some of my favorite looks included those of Kristin Cavallari (in a sequin and lace lined Zuhair Murad dress), Audrina Patridge (in a fuchsia cutout bodice) and Lauren herself, who rocked an olive-green Mandalay sheath with traces of gold throughout.

Stars Shine at the 2010 MTV Movie Awards

From partially sheer, metallic minis to Elvis-style jumpsuits, there was no shortage of sparkle at the 2010 MTV Movie Awards.

My favorite looks included those of Katy Perry (minus the blue hair), Kristen Stewart (in a two-toned Dolce and Gabbana dress) and Eva Mendes (in an exotic Stella McCartney number).

Rule Breakers or Trend Makers: Destroyed Denim

With the start of the new year, don't be so quick to toss those destroyed denim jeans you picked up over the summer.
Way back in early fall, hip stars Audrina Patridge and Taylor Momsen were seen running errands in the well-worn look.

But in just the past two days, both trend-makers Whitney Port AND Vanessa Hudgen were seen still carrying a torch for this still-hot jeans style.

Dare to Wear: Audrina Patridge

I don't know what it is about Audrina Patridge's forest green getup, recently worn to the "Avatar" premiere in Los Angeles, that reminds me of one of those unruly reptiles from "Gremlins."

Perhaps it's the scaly, ruffled skin along both sides of that blazer. While I'm usually a big fan of mismatching colors, I also don't especially like her gold clutch pairing.

Red-Carpet Recap: Los Premios MTV 2009

Last night's Los Premios MTV 2009 Latin America Awards were all about sexy little party dresses and shoes that "walk the walk."

And the style high points were...

Ashley Tisdale in a black, Camilla and Marc Lotus dress. This modern, "bad girl" take on the tutu marks my favorite look of the night.

Kelly Osbourne wearing a short, bell-shaped D & G number. While I love the almost-black plum shade of this dress, I would've preferred to see it paired with nude heels (less matchy-matchy).

Alessandra Ambrosio sporting a partial-lace, embellished Balmain bodice. The tight fit of this dress is a model make.

Nelly Furtado in a studded, Elie Saab sheath. The simplicity of this nude shade helps to balance out the business of the details. The dress shown was just one of three Elie Saab dresses worn by the performer throughout the night.

Audrina Patridge rocking a sequin-clad LBD. Long sleeves and Lanvin thigh-high boots help the mini dress transition to fall.

"Hills" Style Smackdown: Audrina vs. Kristin

Tensions were rising between Audrina Patridge and Kristin Cavallari on the second episode of "The Hills" last night as both ladies continued to battle it out for the very desirable (I'm saying this loosely, of course) Justin Bobby.

As if Kristin didn't do enough damage during the season premiere (heavy flirting and very possibly pretending to love football in hopes to sway him, eh hem), she showed off her bikini bod with Mr. Wonderful last night while Audrina made a jealousy play by asking out one of his friends. Note: In true "Pratt" fashion, Stephanie was there to help pin both ladies against one another (did she have lip injections?).

Because we're all adults here, and this drama is SO behind us, I say we settle this one the old fashioned way...with a good style smackdown.
