I've been feeling blue for a while. It started when Penelope Cruz wore one of my favorite dresses of the season by a designer I adore (Roland Mouret) to the Toronto Film Festival.
At first, I wasn't sure if the stars' blue streak was a fluke or a bona fide fashion fad, but then realized shades of sky, ocean and midnight on the red carpet have officially replaced last season's reigning shade of purple.
As if I needed more convincing of what the go-to color for the season is, I watched the last episode
of the addictive "Project Runway" on MyLifetime.com (a busy fashionista's media lifesaver!) and the challenge was "create a blue look for the Macy's Inc. clothing line."
