Can't Live Without My: Trench Coats

When Blake Lively isn't using trench coats to wrap up her looks on "Gossip Girl," she's keeping warm (and chic) with a plethora of trench styles all over Manhattan.

My two favorite styles thus far have to be the short, camel-colored leather trench worn by the actress to "The Late Show with David Letterman" and the knee-length silver trench worn to the 2010 CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Awards (she was first spotted wearing the silver one while out and about with then-boyfriend Penn Badgley).

Trend to Try: Statement Tights

Looking for an easy way to pack some personality into a boring office wardrobe or a stylish way to warm up a nightlife look?

Celebs like Leighton Meester, Khloe Kardashian and Blake Lively are adding dimension to their everyday styles with a variety of statement tights.

Stick to rich colors (such as plum or forest) or textures (ribbed or chevron are usually safe bets) for work, and let your legs shine with sexy cutouts (pin dots are HUGE right now!) or flirty florals on the weekend.

Dare to Wear: Blake Lively

Blake Lively's incessant need to incorporate men's button-ups into her looks is beyond me.

While the "Gossip Girl" star usually stops at shorts and wellies, she went off the deep end at the Realm Boutique Opening in New York, pairing her signature (and rather sloppy) style staple with a multicolored miniskirt that failed to reach the shirt's length, a jumbo brown belt and black booties.

In the picture, Blake barely manages to keep her eyes open, which explains how she might have misperceived this look.

Style Showdown: Leighton Meester vs. Jessica Lowndes

Jessica Lowndes was spotted wearing a sponge-dotted Alice + Olivia skirt and a black tank at the 8th Annual BAFTA/LA TV Tea Party in Los Angeles.

Just days later, Leighton Meester wore the same skirt with a gold Marc by Marc Jacobs blouse while filming "Gossip Girl" in New York.

Leighton's gold lame top, oversize burgundy handbag and grey booties added a lot of dimension to her (or shall I say Miss Blair Waldorf's) look, so I'm giving this one to her.

Leighton Meester looked adorable while channeling Blair Waldorf in a bright, multi-patterned Nanette Lepore dress on the "Gossip Girl" set in New York yesterday.

She topped off the colorful creation, which retails for $368 on revolveclothing.com, with her signature Tiffany & Co. key charm.

Leave it to Taylor Momsen to ruin my "Gossip Girl" fashion high.

Just when I'd become accustomed to seeing castmates Leighton Meester and Blake Lively modeling the latest goods from Valentino, Gucci and Oscar de la Renta while shooting Season Four, I stumbled upon this picture of Miss Momsen preparing to take the stage for a show in Columbia, Maryland.

Not only can you see the actress's bra and underwear right through her dress, but if you look closely, you'll notice a pack of smokes peeking out of her thigh-highs. Classy!

Dare to Wear: Blake Lively, Again

You'd look angry too if you had to wear a circus suit during mid-day in Manhattan.

Blake Lively threw onlookers for a loop (for the second day in a row) while wearing this tribal print gown with mermaid-worthy, blue jewel detailing around the collar and waist.

To make matters worse, the dress (from Jenny Packham) featured awkward cutouts in between and beside Blake's breasts. Like a woman who's been dubbed "Boobs Lively" in the blogosphere needs any more attention called to her, well, you know.

Neon Animal Prints: Trend or Foe?

Hollywood's latest style mantra? "If you can't go any bolder, go brighter."

At least that appears to be the case with animal prints, which I've seen popping up all over the place in saturated green, blue, pink and yellow hues.

Judging by the fact the neon animal print trend has now officially hit the "Gossip Girl" set (shown on actresses Alice Callahan and Zuzanna Szadkowski), its possibilities are endless.

Blake Lively looked like she'd just rolled out of bed while filming "Gossip Girl" on the Upper West Side yesterday.

The actress rocked a striped button-up, cutoffs and (randomly enough) a brown silk scarf. She topped off her already peculiar look with knee socks, boots and bedhead.
