Dare to Wear: Ali Larter

Posted by babu 10:55am GMT

I know I've said this before (see Kourtney Kardashian), but something about women in their third trimester wearing mini (dresses, skirts, anything) just doesn't feel right to me.

Here, Ali Larter is shown wearing an sparkling Marchesa shift dress with a rope that creates a sort of makeshift empire waist at the "Resident Evil: Afterlife 3D" premiere in Tokyo and, while the actress is no doubt glowing, she and her unborn baby look like they're going to bust out of that dress at any minute.

Dare to Wear: Sara Rue

Posted by babu 2:19pm GMT

Was actress Sara Rue caught up in a heated paintball match before arriving to the 2010 Entertainment Tonight Emmy Party?

If not, she could've fooled me (and everyone else) by wearing a cream sheath covered with splashes of bright blue and pink.

Dare to Wear: Jessica Alba

Posted by babu 5:48pm GMT

I usually feature both full-body and a head shots of DTW contenders, but in the case of Jessica Alba's circus act of a dress, I HAD to include a shot from behind.

To make things worse, the actress paired her seemingly stained getup (from Valentino) with grey sandals. I've never seen a tutu look so gloomy.

Dare to Wear: Rita Wilson

Posted by babu 1:53pm GMT

Rita Wilson
looked like a walking antique lamp shade at the 2010 Emmy Awards, to which she wore a crystallized dress and matching shoes from the Prada Spring 2010 collection.

Something tells me this would be the absolute worst outfit to play hide-and-seek in!

Dare to Wear: Anna Paquin

Posted by babu 12:38pm GMT

This is Sparta!

"True Blood" star Anna Paquin looked like she was suited up for battle at the 2010 Emmy Awards, to which she (predictably) wore an armour-clad gown from the Alexander McQueen Resort 2011 collection.

Dare to Wear: Katy Perry

Posted by babu 10:56am GMT

Now, I know leopard prints are going to be huge this fall, but leopard faces? That's a whole different beast (you get my drift).

Katy Perry was spotted wearing a zip-up hoodie bearing the face of a blue-eyed feline (paired with a leather mini) at the Scissor Sisters concert in New York.

There's still no word as to whether the singer's rainbow strands are the real deal or extensions.

Dare to Wear: Maria Sharapova

Posted by babu 2:27pm GMT

Talk about dressing to fit the occasion! Tennis pro Maria Sharapova turned heads by wearing a headless baby tee at Evian's Baby on the Inside Advertisement Promotion in New York.

At least the baby was wearing a diaper, as to not leak all over Maria's fab sequined 3.1 Phillip Lim cropped shorts.

Dare to Wear: Anne Heche

Posted by babu 3:24pm GMT

At first glance, I loved "Hung" star Anne Heche's gold and taupe Zac Posen dress, worn to the "Late Show with David Letterman."

At second glance, however, I couldn't help but notice something about her dress looked a bit off, such as the fact it appeared some pieces were actually FALLING off.

While I'm usually a huge fan of asymmetrical styles, this one in particular lacks definition altogether, leaving it looking more ragged than rich.

Dare to Wear: Drew Barrymore

Posted by babu 2:37pm GMT

It's three for the price of one!

Drew Barrymore has been spotted all over London in a variety of hippie-inspired ensembles, from a fringed cutoff tee and peasant pants to a feathered cloak and leather pants, splitting things up with a flannel shirt and top hat.

Which of Drew's latest looks is most daring?

Sneak Peek: Tucker for Target and Mulberry for Target Collections

Posted by babu 12:48pm GMT

While the Tucker and Mulberry designer collaborations for Target don't hit stores until September (or in Mulberry's case, October), members of the invitation-only shopping destination Gilt Groupe will be able to scoop up goods from both collections in a special Target Designer Sale today at noon.

Some of my top picks include the Tucker for Target collection include the Tie Front Blouse in Lawn Bird Print ($24.99), the Boucle Dress in Black ($59.99) and the Brocade Skirt in Gold/Navy ($39.99).

And, when it comes to the Mulberry for Target collection, it would have to be the Crossbody in Black Patent ($29.99), the Satchel in Black Patent ($34.99) and the Large Satchel in Quilted Denim ($49.99).

Which collection are you dying to shop?
