Dare to Wear: Blake Lively

Posted by babu 12:00pm GMT

Let this serve as an example of how NOT to rock the exposed lingerie trend this spring.

Blake Lively (who's also been dubbed "Boobs" Lively for her tendency to show cleavage) wore a Carven bubble dress with an exposed corset to the WonderCon 2011 event, which took place recently in San Francisco.

While I can't help but think her dress looked like it was put on backward, and that her chest-centric ensemble fell a little flat (no pun intended), I will give her points for her two-tone Christian Louboutin pump pairing, as they prove the perfect combination of sassy and sweet.

Dare to Wear: Taylor Momsen

Posted by babu 3:04pm GMT

Would you invite Taylor Momsen to your kid's party?

The actress/singer/fashion victim looked better prepared for a biker convention than Nickelodeon's 2011 Kids' Choice Awards, where she proved a misfit in a cropped leather jacket, tee, jeans and what looked like 10-inch platforms.

She accessorized her look with a ring-bearing choker (and a raccoon mask).

Dare to Wear: Milla Jovovich

Posted by babu 11:35am GMT

Was Milla Jovovich's dress made out of leftover fabric scraps?

The brocade and lace panels on Milla's Valentino frock, worn to the Gorby 80 Gala at Royal Albert Hall in London, appeared to have been haphazardly pinned together minutes before the event, leaving Milla's chest (and one of her nipples) exposed.

Dare to Wear: Paris Hilton

Posted by babu 5:55pm GMT

Is it just me, or does Paris Hilton look like she's about to parachute out of a private jet?

The high-glitz heiress wore this completely-sequined and winged mini dress recently to the "Paris Hilton The Shoe Collection" cocktail party in Mexico City, topping off her look with a metallic chain bag and red satin pumps.

I just wonder how she was able to eat in this thing (not that I'd expect her to eat anyway).

Dare to Wear: Nicki Minaj

Posted by babu 1:05pm GMT

It looks like someone needs to trim her hedges!

Just a little over a month after rocking a leopard 'fro at the 2011 Grammy Awards (note: she's also done the cotton-candy pink puff), Nicki Minaj (and her ombre 'do) blended in with the leafy backdrop at the 2011 Green Auction: A Bid To Save The Earth in New York.

The rest of her look consisted of a pleather-trimmed jumpsuit, booties and the singer's signature pink pout.

See Nicki Minaj's Grammy Awards look.

Dare to Wear: Vanessa Hudgens

Posted by babu 1:53pm GMT

Is that Nicole Richie??!!

In what appears to be the latest case of stolen celeb identity, Vanessa Hudgens wore a snakeskin slip and matching, fringed kimono accessorized with a hippie headband and chained handbag while hosting an event at Pure Nightclub in Las Vegas.

As if her Woodstock-worthy look weren't cluttered enough, she toppped it off with multiple chains and an ankle bracelet.

Dare to Wear: Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen

Posted by babu 3:31pm GMT

No strangers to the dark and dreary, shady ladies Ashley (left) and Mary-Kate (right) Olsen opted for rather grim getups for the recent Metropolitan Opera Premiere of Le Comte Ory in New York.

While both ladies looked like they were attending a funeral, it was Ashley's immobilizing, emerald-green muff that took the cake for me.

Dare to Wear: Jennifer Lopez

Posted by babu 11:26am GMT

Rihanna and Leona Lewis aren't the only singers with bellies to boast (see their cropped tops here).

No stranger to showing a little skin, J. Lo braved a bare midriff while visiting "EXTRA" in Los Angeles.

While the "American Idol" judge and mother of two certainly made her point (that being that she's "still got it") in this cropped top and short combo (complete with a plaid, cropped jacket and white platforms), I can't help but think her edgy ensemble belongs in Paula Abdul's closet, and certainly not on the red carpet.

Dare to Wear: Jena Malone

Posted by babu 2:55pm GMT

"Sucker Punch" star Jena Malone (you may remember her as the bratty daughter from "Stepmom"), like many twenty-somethings, seems to be going through a major experimentation phase when it comes to style.

The actress wore a bustier and fishtail skirt creation from Juan Carlos Obando at the Warner Bros. Premiere of "Sucker Punch" in Hollywood.

While the daring duo would prove a tough sell for even the most fearless of fashionistas, Jena's seafoam-colored eyeshadow and garish stance certainly didn't help matters any.

Dare to Wear: Leona Lewis

Posted by babu 12:03pm GMT

Proving the latest star to bare a literal animal print on her clothing, singer Leona Lewis enforced her love of animals by wearing a dress with a horse's head proudly displayed in front at The Humane Society's 25th Annual Genesis Awards.

It's been widely speculated that this ombre-fringed dress (uniquely paired here with a Union Jack clutch) might have been a product of the singer-turned-designer herself (see some of her other creations here).
