Trend to Try: Cargo

Celebs like Elle Macpherson, Katie Holmes, Olivia Palermo and Carmen Electra know the coolest way to cover up for spring is with a chic cargo jacket.

While the great thing about cargo jackets is that they're so versatile, I personally prefer wearing a fitted style (like Elle's) with jeans or worn over something unexpected a la Olivia.

Trend to Try: Ochre

Actress Melissa George was the latest star to jump on the ochre train, wearing a sunny sensation to the Costume Institute Gala.

She followed the likes of Diane Kruger (in Jason Wu) and Michelle Williams, who sparked the trend back in 2006 when she stole the spotlight in a plunging Vera Wang gown at the 78th Annual Academy Awards.

The hot hue made mass-market waves back in December, when it debuted as one of the central palettes of Rodarte's collection for Target.

Trend to Try: Mint Green Minis

Glorified Gas Masks: Trend or Foe?

Models walked the runway in what looked like high-end gas masks (created by Mexican designer Gianfranco Reni) during Mercedes Benz Fashion Week in Mexico City.

My favorite had to be the one that resembled the face of an elephant.

Malin Akerman's Feather Earring: Love It or Leave It?

I thought my eyes were playing tricks on me when I first spotted Malin Akerman's feathery friend at the 7th Annual New Yorkers For Children Spring Dinner Dance.

What was even more bewildering than the fact that the actress's earring could easily double as an exotic hair extension is that it appears she's only wearing one.

Snooki's Studded Shades: Love 'Em or Leave 'Em?

That Snooki is one shady lady!

The "Jersey Shore" star rocked a pair of $350 Jason Burke sunglasses while out and about in Miami yesterday.

At several points, she was spotted pulling the studded peepers away from her face, probably because that's the only way she could see.

Other celeb fans of view-obstructing sunglasses include Kanye West, Rihanna and Lady Gaga.

Celebs like Tyra Banks, Jessica Simpson and Kate Mara are replacing the LRD (little red dress) with blood-orange sheaths that are both refreshing and fierce.

Have even more fun with the attention-grabbing shade by wearing matching lipstick or colorful accessories.

Trend to Try: Purple Pumps

Celebs like Keke Palmer and Alexandra Burke Singer have been adding a pop of color to their wardrobes with pastel purple plumps.

To no surprise, it appears the source of the trend may be Sarah Jessica Parker, who rocked the highly coveted Brian Atwood "Loca" pumps while filming "SATC2."

For a similar style that won't break the bank, I like Steve Madden's Trinitie Pumps in Lilac, $99.95 (pictured below).

Beyonce's Face Flats: Love 'Em or Leave 'Em?

Between tee-shirts, skirts and now, shoes, it appears abstract lip and face prints are the latest Hollywood craze.

While I'm still hesitant when it comes to the full-on face fashions, I have to admit that in small doses, such as in the case of Beyonce's adorable Topshop Victoria Face Flats, a little lip and eye action can really pack some personality into a wardrobe.

Jeans and Tights: Trend or Foe?

Forget miniskirts! Tomboys like Katie Holmes, Nicole Richie and Taylor Momsen are taking a more casual approach to tights this spring by pairing them with denim cutoffs.

I stopped at a nearby Urban Outfitters on my lunch break today and nearly all of the mannequins inside were modeling the same look for spring.
