Macy's Introduces Ideology with Cheryl Burke

Posted by kgranero 2:36pm GMT

I sat down with two-time “Dancing with the Stars” winner Cheryl Burke at Macy’s Ideology launch, for which Cheryl is the face of, to get the scoop on the new activewear line, her stay-fit secrets and more.

Q: Can you talk about Ideology and what intrigued you about this partnership?
A: Macy’s and Ideology asked me to partner with them and the moment I tried on the clothes I knew we were a perfect fit. I have a very curvy body type so I can relate to a lot of women out there and I think this line really makes my body look good. I also feel really good in it, which is important to me because working out is my job.

Q: You live a very active lifestyle. What are some of the things you look for when choosing activewear for yourself?
A: What’s most important to me is comfort. I need to feel like I can bend my body any way it wants to go, and I feel this line really adapts to your body. The sports bra, for instance, really stretches to make you feel good, yet it still holds everything in. It’s the same thing with the pants. Normally, with my body shape, I hate wearing capri pants, but when I first tried on Ideology’s capri pants, they made me feel really good because they cover what you want to hide while highlighting your assets.

Q: Being that you’re so active, you’re always on your feet. Are there any shoe brands or shoe accessories that you rely on for comfort?
A: Most of the time I’m in my dance shoes, but when I’m just rehearsing I like Nike. Capezio also makes really good shoes for dancers.

Q: What do you look for when it comes to your stage style?
A: It’s important for me to accentuate my waist, because it’s a lot smaller than my hips. I make sure that if, say, I wear a two-piece, my skirt starts a little higher up so my body looks smaller. Or, I like my back, so maybe I’ll have a low-cut dress in the back and then the seam will start mid-butt so that my butt doesn’t look that big. There are definitely tricks of the trade.

Q: Is there one “DWTS” costume that stands out as being your favorite?
A: In Season 2 with Drew Lachey, I wore this red dress for a Paso Doble which we danced to “Thriller” by Michael Jackson, and it was really beautiful.

Q: Do you have any tips for women looking to shape up?
A: Just always stay active. Bust a sweat every single day, because that’s what’s going to make you want to eat better and make you feel better.

Ideology, which will feature neutral and brightly hued jackets, sweatshirts, tops, bras, pants, shorts and accessories ranging from $7.98 to $58, will hit Macy’s stores in Spring 2012.

Style Showdown: Dianna Agron vs. Danielle Lineker

Posted by kgranero 12:23pm GMT

"Glee" actress Dianna Agron looked beautiful in a botanical Mary Katrantzou print while celebrating her December/January cover with Nylon magazine in Los Angeles.

A little over a week earlier, Welsh lingerie model Danielle Lineker wore the same silky sheath to the Halcyon Gallery VIP Opening in London.

I like how Danielle's nude shoe extended her legs (whereas Dianna's booties distracted from her dress) so I'm giving this one to her.

Who wore Mary Katrantzou better?

Style Showdown: Kim Kardashian vs. Nicky Hilton

Posted by kgranero 1:36pm GMT

Looks like Kim Kardashian and Nicky Hilton have the same winter warm-up routine!

Nicky bundled up in her Torn by Ronny Kobo Taylor Lumberjack Jacket while out and about in New York in late November, while Kim incorporated the plaid coat into her look for the Los Angeles Mission 75th Anniversary celebration (just days later).

Both ladies looked cozy-chic in this coat, but I like how Kim spruced up her look with over-the-knee-boots, so I'm giving this to her.

Which lady proved the better lumberjack?
