Red-Carpet Recap: ELLE's 17th Annual Women in Hollywood Tribute

Posted by babu 12:41pm GMT

Sexy shimmer and monochromatic melons (much in thanks to designer Calvin Klein) took over the red carpet at ELLE's 17th Annual Women in Hollywood Tribute.

Some of my favorite looks included those of Hilary Swank (glowing in a gold Calvin Klein bustier dress), Kate Hudson (looking classy in a Prabal Gurung sheath with floral appliques along the shoulder) and Kerry Washington (keeping her palette neutral in a strapless, beige bodice and nude platforms).

Topping my "IT list" were Gwyneth Paltrow and Diane Kruger, who were similarly styled in citrus-hued sheaths (one tangerine, one more like watermelon) and nude sandals (all from Calvin Klein).

Which star's tribute style was most tantalizing?

Red-Carpet Recap: Conde Nast Traveler Readers' Choice Awards

Posted by babu 12:48pm GMT

Soft and sophisticated are the two words I'd use to describe the red carpet at the Conde Nast Traveler Readers' Choice Awards, which took place last night in New York.

Some of my favorite celeb looks included those of personal celeb style crush Kerry Washington (in a champagne Ports 1961 sheath with teal and champagne sequin detailing), Angie Harmon (in a feathered sheath with beautiful metallic embroidering along the collar and bodice) and Malaak Compton-Rock (rocking a gold, strapless tunic and matching accessories).

Which star's sassy style is sexiest?

Red-Carpet Recap: 2010 Teen Vogue Young Hollywood Party

Posted by babu 3:32pm GMT

You can always count on the 2010 Teen Vogue Young Hollywood Party for fresh faces and fun frocks.

Some of my favorite looks this year included those of Emma Roberts (in a plunging, chiffon Catherine Malandrino gown), newbie Kendall Jenner (rocking a tuxedo-style blouse and mint-green tulip skirt paired with oxfords) and Kelly Osbourne (working a body-hugging LBD paired with a bright green clutch).

While she didn't exactly knock my socks off, Lauren Conrad looked polished to perfection as usual in a military-friendly silk blouse and trouser shorts.

As for Nikki Reed, I loved her gold Michael Kors dress, but I would've liked to see it cinched at the waist for more shape (and not paired with such matchy-matchy accessories).

Which starlet's playful style is your fave?

Red-Carpet Recap: Resnick Pavilion Opening Gala

Posted by babu 3:37pm GMT

The bold and the beautiful (add to that busty) came out this weekend for the Resnick Pavilion Opening Gala in Los Angeles.

Some of my favorites looks from the va-va-voom collection (pictured above) include those of Christina Aguilera (glowing in a champagne-colored Atelier Versace gown heavily embellished along the waist), Kim Kardashian (rocking a lipstick-red Georges Hobeika gown with ruching throughout) and Olivia Wilde (charming in a buff-beige Monique Lhuillier gown with corseted bodice and full, tulle skirt).

Which star's red-carpet look is most beautiful?

There certainly wasn't a shortage of shining stars at the Marchesa S/S 2011 Presentation yesterday.

Some of my favorite celeb looks included those of Jessica Szohr (in a champagne-colored sheath and cream Christian Louboutin peep-toes), Olivia Palermo (rocking a red dress with rosette detailing and her signature grey booties) and Kelly Osbourne (in a ruffled tulle dress with a black sash and bow around the waist).

Which star's girly style is most gorgeous?

Red-Carpet Recap: 2010 MTV Video Music Awards

Posted by babu 11:59am GMT

As usual, the red carpet at last night's MTV Video Music Awards proved a shock-value showcase.

Some of the more notable looks included those of Ciara (in a feather-trimmed Givenchy gown), Katy Perry (rocking a black and white illusionary inset dress from Marchesa), Selena Gomez (in a metallic Reem Acra bustier gown), Evan Rachel Wood (working a leopard-ombre Gucci Resort 2011 dress) and Florence Welch (gleaming in a gold-sequined Givenchy gown).

My top two looks had to be those of Ciara and Florence, making Givenchy my designer pick for the night.

Which star's shocking style is your fave?

Red-Carpet Recap: Fashion's Night Out: The Show

Posted by babu 12:11pm GMT

In celebration of Fashion Week (which officially kicks off tomorrow and boasts a huge Fashion's Night Out celebration throughout the city and beyond Friday), stars attended Fashions Night Out: The Show last night in New York.

Judging from last night's duds, some of my Fashion Week wardrobes to watch include those of Leighton Meester (shown in an edgy, teal cutout bustier dress from Versus), Blake Lively (who pushed her usual style limits in a tribal-print number from Marchesa) and Fashion Week favorite Olivia Palermo (who looked flirty in a floral, off-the-shoulder dress paired with a peony clutch).

Which celeb's FW style is off to the right start?

Red-Carpet Recap: 2010 Emmy Awards

Posted by babu 11:20am GMT

The 62nd Primetime Emmy Awards, aka the biggest night in television, took place last night, where leading ladies from hit shows like "Mad Men," "The Office" and "Glee" swept across the carpet in their Sunday best, and then some.

Some of the standout Emmy styles included those of Christina Hendricks (who wowed in a curve-hugging chiffon Zac Posen gown), Dianna Agron (who exuded femininity in an antique-looking Carolina Herrera Resort 2011 gown), Heidi Klum (who rocked a sexy Marchesa LBD and spiked Christian Louboutin pumps), Emily Deschanel (who looked vibrant in a violet, multi-tiered Max Azria Atelier gown) and January Jones (who received mixed reviews after debuting a cobalt blue Atelier Versace Spring 2010 gown).

Which star's Primetime Emmys style is your fave?

Red-Carpet Recap: Los Angeles Magazine's Fall Fashion Issue Party

Posted by babu 12:23pm GMT

What's black, gold and pretty all over? The red-carpet at Los Angeles Magazine's Fall Fashion Issue Party, of course.

Some of my favorite looks from the luxe event included those of Kourtney Kardashian (in a cream and black panel dress with lace overlay), sister Kim (rocking a shimmery, champagne-colored sheath) and the new-and-improved Sara Rue (who revealed a slimmer, more sultry version of herself in a full-skirted number with gold detailing).

Which star's shimmery style is your fave?
