Dare to Wear: Katie Price

Posted by babu 4:29pm GMT

Katie Price, aka Jordan, was a "vision" in red at the book signing for her latest book "Standing Out, My Look, My Style, My Life" in London.

The former English glamour model and television personality refused to be one-upped by drag queens in attendance and, with that wild wig and caked-on makeup, it was hard to tell her apart from them.

Dare to Wear: Mary-Louise Parker

Posted by babu 10:48am GMT

Mary-Louise Parker took the menswear trend to a new, and unflattering, level at the Seventh Annual Best in Drag Show in Los Angeles. While I have to admit this look was fitting for the event at hand, I would've much rather seen her take a style cue from Kim Kardashian and opt for more tailored pieces.

Here, she just looks like a disheveled clown (I'm still convinced her boutonniere shoots out water, by the way).

Dare to Wear: Halle Berry

Posted by babu 12:40pm GMT

What's purchased in Vegas should stay in Vegas. Halle Berry showed some skin in a black Kaufman Franco bodice at Keep A Child Alive's 6th Annual Black Ball in New York. While there's no doubting she has the body to pull this sequined stunner off, I think this falls into the realm of trying too hard.

Not only do the slits in this dress create a mummy-like vibe (a little early for Halloween), but the top completely smushes her chest! I much prefer Taylor Swift's looser, and more elegant, Kaufman Franco pick for this year's MTV Vido Music Awards.

Dare to Wear: Allison Iraheta vs. Jery Sandoval

Posted by babu 12:24pm GMT

It's a dare dual! Former "American Idol" contestant Allison Iraheta and actress, model and singer Jery Sandoval proved the "pink elephants in the room" at last night's 2009 Los Premios MTV Awards. So who took home the cuckoo crown?

While I'm dying to cut those pink, purple and blue highlights out of Allison's hair in her sleep (and put her "grade school dance" dress back in her closet), I'm going to have to give this one to "cat woman." Meeeow!

Which star has the most daring duds?

Dare to Wear: Rose McGowan

Posted by babu 4:43pm GMT

Actress Rose McGowan rocked a bow-clad asymmetrical top and black mini skirt to the 2009 MAD Paperball Gala in New York City.

Though I'm not exactly smitten with the ensemble (I'd prefer to see this top in dress form), I'll be the first to admit her style has come a long way since her days as Marilyn Manson's girlfriend.

Dare to Wear: Taylor Momsen

Posted by babu 6:04pm GMT

When it comes to style, there are few things that bother me more than competing accessories. In the case of "Gossip Girl" star Taylor Momsen at "The Stepfather" premiere in New York, these would be her busy tights, power-platform booties and raccoon eyeliner, not to mention her dress in and of itself.

I liked Taylor's style much better in "How the Grinch Stole Christmas." She's still only 16, so let's just hope this is a phase.

Dare to Wear: Sophia Bush

Posted by babu 3:20pm GMT

Kids, cover your eyes! The usually polished, and considerably covered, Sophia Bush was just caught doing a nude scene, and it wasn't on her TV show "One Tree Hill."

The actress wore a see-through lace mini from the Max Azria Fall 2009 collection to Hollywood Life's Sixth Annual Hollywood Style Awards. Not only does this dress appear to be cutting off her circulation (maybe it's part of a new dieting tactic?), but it's a far cry from the feminine (and flowy) blouses and gowns that everyone's become accustomed to (and have enjoyed) seeing her in.

She's also pictured kissing the talented designer (who happens to be one of my favorites) at the event, so maybe this falls somewhere under the law "Don't bite the head of the designer that dresses you"?!

Dare to Wear: Leigh Lezark

Posted by babu 6:41pm GMT

Perhaps the most entertainment I've had during Paris Fashion Week this time around has been watching the Leigh Lezark show unfold.

The American DJ and model (who I'd never heard of until a few weeks ago) first channeled her inner hipster with a Givenchy Resort 2010 ensemble (note: I still don't know what that ghost mask is all about) for the Givenchy show. Next, she took the peacock trend to an entirely new level in a Giambattista Valli peacock feather coat at the Giambattista Valli show. Not skipping a beat, Leigh then went tribal (space alien?) in a black and white bodysuit by Chanel for the Chanel show. And, just when I thought I'd seen it all, she wore what looks like an oversized bra to the John Galliano show.

All I have left to say about all this is "What the wardrobe?!"

Dare to Wear: Kourtney Kardashian

Posted by babu 5:03pm GMT

Dear Kourtney,
We know you're hot, but we're perfectly okay with waiting to get a sneak peek at your baby until after it's born.

The very pregnant Kardashian sister showed off her bump (and everything else) in a navy mini shift dress while she and her family hosted the Famous Cupcakes Grand Opening celebration in Beverly Hills.

Besides the fact that Kourtney's otherwise gorgeous dress looks like a human bowling ball bag here, I'm afraid her platforms and skimpy dress form the recipe for the first humiliating moment of her baby's life. At least the kid will have some material for his or her (still a mystery) reality TV show.

Dare to Wear: Fergie

Posted by babu 1:04pm GMT

Fergie Ferg rocked a pair of stonewashed, cheetah-print jeans and a shirt with shoulder cut-outs to the BlackBerry VIPeas Party in Melbourne, Australia this week.

Though I have come to appreciate Fergie's "funky fashions" for the most part, I'm not a fan of this take on the animal print trend (kind of tacky) and am even more skeptical of the way she tucked her jeans into her heels. I'm also not used to seeing her so covered up.
