Jessica Simpson wore a rather suspicious frock while out and about with boyfriend Eric Johnson in Italy last week.

It may have been somewhat less awkward if the chiffon, giraffe-print fabric hadn't clung to the singer, creating the illusion of a bodysuit with wings.

Dare to Wear: Claire Danes

Claire Danes wore a multicolored, chiffon Valentino mini to the Roma Fiction Fest 2010 Ceremony Awards this past weekend.

While I hate to admit it (I mean, it IS Valentino we're talking about here!), I just can't get past the seaweed-like stripe along the one side of this dress (or the long, billowing of cloth along the other).

Dare to Wear: Lyndsey Rodrigues

Lyndsey Rodrigues showed up in what looked like New York Times scrappings and a trash bag at the Telstra T-Box Party in Sydney, Australia this week.

The dress reminded me of a cheap version of Carrie Bradshaw's John Galliano for Dior newspaper dress in "SATC 2."

Dare to Wear: Dita Von Teese

Dita Von Teese recently walked the runway at the Jean Paul Gaultier show during Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week wearing a corset and thigh-highs.

While it wasn't a total shocker (she is a burlesque performer, after all), I still couldn't help but think it was a little over-the-top, even for Fashion Week.

Dare to Wear: Leighton Meester

Leighton Meester opted for a black leather sheath from the Chanel Pre-Fall 2010 collection for the Chanel Fall 2010 Couture presentation in Paris.

While I love the dress, I can't help but think her matching black and gold Christian Louboutin booties and statement jewelry are a little overkill.

Dare to Wear: Mia Wasikowska

It appears the latest celeb to join the "star flasher ring" is Mia Wasikowska.

Just days after the actress (whose sense of style reminds me of Carey Mulligan's) was spotted in a see-through Jason Wu ensemble at "The Kids Are All Right" Luncheon, she wore this barely-there Rodarte dress to the film's premiere in New York.

Never one to be pigeonholed into a specific style genre, Drew Barrymore added some funky flair to her floral sundress and red peep-toes with neon, gingham shades while out and about in New York yesterday.

While the playful pair might have been a good fit for the actress's Bonaroo Festival days, they looked a tad out of place in this Katy Perry-meets-Eva Mendes look.
