Can you guess the culprits behind these heinous fashion crimes? Hint: one of them also wore a bird's nest on her head this year.

We reveal them, along with seven other dressed-to-distress stars, in our Worst Dressed Celebs of 2009 gallery. You won't want to miss this!

Dare to Wear: Audrina Patridge

Posted by babu 1:55pm GMT

I don't know what it is about Audrina Patridge's forest green getup, recently worn to the "Avatar" premiere in Los Angeles, that reminds me of one of those unruly reptiles from "Gremlins."

Perhaps it's the scaly, ruffled skin along both sides of that blazer. While I'm usually a big fan of mismatching colors, I also don't especially like her gold clutch pairing.

Dare to Wear: Madonna and Lourdes

Posted by babu 5:28pm GMT

Like mother, like daughter was certainly the case for Madonna and Lourdes Leon at last night's "Nine" premiere in New York.

The two proved a fearless duo: Madonna wearing a lace, corseted bodice and Lourdes rocking a mini, leather jacket and combat boots.

While there's no mistaking their styles were daring, I can't necessarily say they were bad (I might even go as far as to say Lourdes looked cute in her rocker ensemble. At least the most important bits were covered!).

Dare to Wear: Paris Hilton

Posted by babu 5:53pm GMT

Paris Hilton's latest getup looks like the result of a designer collaboration between Peter Pan and Tinker Bell.

The heiress wore this tie-dyed disaster to the "Family Guy Something, Something, Something, Dark Side" DVD Release Party. It looks like, perhaps inside her clashing, oversizedblack clutch, she lost her fairy dust.

Dare to Wear: Z100 's Jingle Ball 2009

Posted by babu 5:36pm GMT

Z100's Jingle Ball 2009 quickly turned into a Dare to Wear convention. And the mug (make that fug) shots from left to right include:

Leighton Meester
wearing a leather Louise Goldin leather dress. I think I speak for everyone when I say "I want Blair Waldorf back!"

Allison Iraheta wearing a Renaissance-esque dress and chained boots. While I'm getting used to the former American Idol singer's medieval nightmare of a wardrobe, I still can't help but shriek at the sight of that hair.

Kei$ha wearing a studded tunic, paired with matching glitter cape and tights. It looks like Lady Gaga has some serious competition when it comes to this one (ps: doesn't she look a little bit like Brittany Snow under all those mascara streaks?).

Miranda Cosgrove in some rather dicey duds. Either iCarly has a gambling problem, or she's been hanging out with Hannah Montana too long.

Orianthi rocking a gauzy getup. She must get her hair done at the same salon as Allison.

Dare to Wear: Lake Bell

Posted by babu 2:59pm GMT

Ooh! Ooh! I solved the crime! It was Lake Bell in the library with her necklace!

Sorry...got a little carried away there, as I'm sure you can understand why. The actress clearly didn't have to pass a metal detector or go through an airport to get to the "It's Complicated" screening in New York last night.

But seriously, I wonder what Lake did to deserve having to walk around wearing a barbwire around her neck. Ouch!

Dare to Wear: Alicia Keys

Posted by babu 3:06pm GMT

How do you come out of history's biggest ink spill with your head held high? Add a skinny belt and matching shoes.

At least, that's what Alicia Keys appeared to have done at her album launch last night. I wonder how many Tide To Go pens it would take to clean this one up...

Dare to Wear: Stephanie Pratt

Posted by babu 12:46pm GMT

The trick to rocking the latest lace trends is keeping things to a modern minimum, which means little, flirty accents and clean cuts as opposed to full lace-on-lace contact. Obviously, Stephanie Pratt has yet to receive that memo.

The reality TV star wore a lace-accented shirt with what looks like a multi-tiered lace vest (I'm unable to confirm whether or not the shirt and vest are attached at this point in time) to a PRVCY Premium Denim party in Hollywood last night. Very Wicked Witch of the West...

Dare to Wear: Kelly Osbourne

Posted by babu 2:44pm GMT

Hey, Kelly: Boy George wants his outfit back!

The singer, reality TV star and recent "DWTS" contestant rocked a sequined jacket and black fedora to the 12th Annual Cracked Xmas 12 Gala in Los Angeles.

I think I liked her better as an egg (see Kelly as an egg here).

Dare to Wear: Drew Barrymore

Posted by babu 11:31am GMT

This dress looks like the result of a lot of leftover sequins, and one overly-resourceful designer.

Drew Barrymore wore the multi-colored collage of a dress, designed by Emilio Pucci, at the "Everybody's Fine" screening in New York last night.

Too bad the scraps fell short of one shoulder...
