Red Carpet Recap: 2010 Brit Awards

Well, folks, it looks like she's managed to do it again. Just when you thought Lady Gaga had reached the height of her "scare-dom" (see pearls all over face pic), she showed up at the 2010 Brit Awards wearing a stack of lampshades (tree skirts also came to mind).

Complete with a white, powdered coif and a lace face mask, the modern Marie Antoinette stole the title from her cuckoo contenders (including Lily Allen and Courtney Love) with ease.

Dare to Wear: Lady Gaga

It may have something to do with the fact that I'm in the midst of a major blizzard right now, but when I first saw this picture of Lady Gaga at the amfAR New York Gala to kick off Fall 2010 Fashion Week, my immediate thought was that she must've been the victim of a major snowball attack (complete with whitewash) on the way.

If you look closely, you'll notice that what appears to be every teenager's worst acne nightmare (or merely food on her face) is actually an arrangement of pearls.

Dare to Wear: Lady Gaga

If you (like me) have been on the lookout for solid proof that Lady Gaga IS actually from another planet, look no further.

Gaga's galactic getup at the 2010 Grammy Awards, created by Giorgio Armani Priv� and covered in Swarovski crystals, looks like an eighth-grade science project gone wrong.

I guess she was trying to portray her head as the sun.

Fashion News: Lady Goes GaGa Over Grandma Girdle

Ever wonder where Lady Gaga finds inspiration for all of her wild stage costumes and street wear [cough! Kermit coat]?

Seems, just like the rest of overworked, stressed-out insomniacs, the Queen of Wackadoo has herself ordered from one of those late night commercials selling everything that you think you really need at 3 A.M.

We have it on good source that the get-up Miss Gaga wore on stage at the most recent American Music Awards is actually a $39.99 Kymaro Body Shaper, ripped right from late night television (slightly modified, of course, to be truly Gaga-licious).

Rule Breakers or Trend Makers: Ripped Tights

Would you believe that at last night’s Lady Gaga concert in LA, the audience was NOT looking at her mirror-encrusted cone bra?!

Instead, Gaga fans were a distracted by her purposely ripped tights –a new trend that is being tested out on the legs of Hot Hollywood. Even leggings-loving Lindsay Lohan traded her beloved trademark legwear for the new thrash fashion on December 15.

But while the look is just now taking off with red carpet stars, destroyed stockings have been the signature style of punk-loving runway model Alice Dellal (pictured right) for a few seasons now.

One Designer, Two Ways: Valentino

Would you be offended if wack-a-doo fashionista Lady Gaga shared your taste in clothes?

Well, just a day after Rachel Weisz walked the red carpet for the premiere of her new film "The Lovely Bones" on December 7 in a gorgeous gray-blue chiffon Valentino design, the superstar songstress chose a similar, yet longer, style from the Italian designer to perform at the launch of the new music video site VEVO.

Dare to Wear: Lady Gaga

Lady Gaga has flown over, and fallen face-first in the middle of, the cuckoo's nest again. The scary songstress showed up to the ACE Awards wearing what looks like lingerie from Marc Jacobs, topping off her look with a bleach-blonde afro and face net.

If you look closely, it really doesn't even look like her. Maybe she's covering up a little cosmetic surgery?

Dare to Wear: Lady Gaga (again!)

I know I just posted a Dare to Wear featuring Miss Gaga not too long ago, but anyone who was watching the MTV Video Music Awards last night understands why I simply couldn't help myself from going there again.

This time, however, she's managed to trump herself by rocking not only one ridiculous outfit, or several throughout the day, but rather four (this is not to mention one ensemble that included a "nest" around her face that I caught her wearing in the audience).




I think my favorite getup has to be the one that manages to reveal everything except her face.
